Thanks for the reports

We are aware of a problem regarding panels and multiscreen setup.

I'll be closing this as a duplicate of bug 356225 to ease tracking. All these
bugs are related and/or have the same cause.

I can confirm that this happens everytime on my system.  I have two monitors
one on DVI and another on HDMI.  The HDMI is primary.  Whenever I turn one of
them on/off I get a crash on plasma and a bug report generates.

Probably related, it is also "random" which screen has a focus when the desktop
gets locked. Sometimes primary, sometimes secondary (and you can't click on the
password input field of the primary screen).

Another interesting observation. Yesterday Plasma moved the panel, after
disconnecting one screen.
And it moved it onto the screen I just disconnected. Interestingly, when
reconnecting, it wasn't moved back.

I think that shouldn't happen. ;)

Just wanted to add: The black screen is usable as in Windows can be moved
there, maximized etc.
The application switcher can appear on that screen as well.
(So kwin seems to work properly.)

However, the desktop menu (right click) is not accessible and no settings icon
is there. So Plasma does not seem to be active on that screen.
