It'll get addressed in 5.11 or 5.12 when favorites get stored in the activities
db instead and shared among widgets.

There may be like 'Remember/Persistent widgets settings' checkbox somewhere in
the 'Look And Feel' window or something like that with ability to save widgets
setting (favorites, pinned apps...) and spread/share them across all widgets.

It is real easy to hit this bug when testing out different application launcher
styles. If you have created any favorites, you will lose them after the switch
to another launcher, and you won't get them back when returning to your
previous launcher style.

Yup. This is not really ideal. Say you have 2 panels (1 / monitor) each with a
kickoffdash. Then you might (!!) want to have the favourites linked / synced
between. However think again - bzzzt - no!!

So basically I've got to manually hack about in the configuration files to fix
this issue.

1) Alter:
/usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.kickoff/contents/config/main.xml
to "fix" / change the default global favourites.

and / or
2) Add further cruft to my BASH script to fix (which runs pre-startup):
~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
which already "fixes" another Plasma 5 bug where panels randomly move when you
change screen configuration... Add a hack to sync my favourites between the
panels (each with a separate kickoffdash).
