I can only report that on 5.18, autohide somehow stops working after some time,
as if the attention flag wasn't cleared properly. It works fine after
plasmashell --replace and I have no idea how to reproduce it reliably...

Auto-hide is working for me in Plasma 5.20 and git master. Is anyone still
experiencing it in 5.20 or later?

What is the difference? I don't see any apps requiring attention, but my panel
will not hide. What am I missing?

I am experiencing same issue with plasmashell 5.10.5 on kubuntu 17.10
and configuration with single screen and two panels organised as in unity
where left panel is set to auto-hide, this worked once it was set up
originally, but often stops working - even when plasmashell is restarted, and
auto-hide is set again, the right panel still does not hide and covers the
active window forever.

Using two panels here. Panel with task manager on right monitor, right side.
Auto hide works weirdly. Pops up every time a new window is opened and
sometimes get "stuck" in visible state for a long time. Fedora 26 with
plasmashell 5.10.5

Works fine here, with Plasma 5.8.7 and Frameworks 5.32.
Only a single screen though.

I can confirm that something weird is going on. The panel doesn't auto-hide
after timeout but only if I focus another window. Clicking where the panel
would be, even if it's hidden, results in the applet that's under the cursor to
be triggered.
