I'm sorry, but the version used by Ubuntu 16.04 is nowadays no longer
maintained by us. If you want to use newer drivers consider using newer
software as well. It's just unlikely that a mix of new and old works together.
The crash report indicates that the drivers you installed are not functional.
Please don't install random drivers from ppas.
