https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=389058 --- Comment #6 from davidblunkett --- That's nice but I think this problem is simpler - the previews seem to sit a few pixels lower than the dropdown so there is no gap between the taskbar and the preview. The dropdown seems to hover just above the taskbar leaving a gap of a few pixels exposing the desktop so the mouse must go taskbar:desktop:dropdown (except the as soon as it hits the desktop the dropdown vanishes). I'll add that if I'm quick and the mouse is moving as I click I can have the mouse under the pop-up list before the list appears and then it works as expected but you have to be very quick!
