[ring-kde] [Bug 383718] file collisions with already installed libringclient
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383718 --- Comment #5 from kde...@boson.nom.za --- Already better, but still a collision >>> Installing (1 of 1) net-voip/kde-ring- * checking 20 files for package collisions * This package will overwrite one or more files that may belong to other * packages (see list below). You can use a command such as `portageq * owners / ` to identify the installed package that owns a * file. If portageq reports that only one package owns a file then do * NOT file a bug report. A bug report is only useful if it identifies at * least two or more packages that are known to install the same file(s). * If a collision occurs and you can not explain where the file came from * then you should simply ignore the collision since there is not enough * information to determine if a real problem exists. Please do NOT file * a bug report at https://bugs.gentoo.org/ unless you report exactly * which two packages install the same file(s). See * https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Knowledge_Base:Blockers for tips on how * to solve the problem. And once again, please do NOT file a bug report * unless you have completely understood the above message. * * Detected file collision(s): * * /usr/lib64/cmake/LibRingClient/LibRingClientConfig.cmake * * Searching all installed packages for file collisions... * * Press Ctrl-C to Stop * * net-libs/libringclient-20170803.2-r1:0::ring-overlay * /usr/lib64/cmake/LibRingClient/LibRingClientConfig.cmake * * Package 'net-voip/kde-ring-' NOT merged due to file * collisions. If necessary, refer to your elog messages for the whole * content of the above message. >>> Failed to install net-voip/kde-ring-, Log file: -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[ring-kde] [Bug 383718] file collisions with already installed libringclient
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383718 --- Comment #4 from Emmanuel Lepage Vallée --- Sorry for the delays, some users reported some crashes and a potential data corruption bug that took some time to fix. I just pushed a commit to the ring-lrc submodule to fix this. Make sure to git-pull that module, the cmake magic doesn't do that itself. Please confirm the issue is resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383718 Emmanuel Lepage Vallée changed: What|Removed |Added Priority|NOR |HI --- Comment #2 from Emmanuel Lepage Vallée --- Confirmed, I will fix this Monday. Ring-KDE should block the headers from the patched LibRingClient from being installed. Bumping priority to High as it's a release blocker. Thanks for the reminded, I had forgotten about this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
