Bug ID: 361620
Summary: Allow to set the keyboard layout and model combo
   Product: systemsettings
   Version: 5.5.5
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: kcm_keyboard_layout
  Assignee: ary...@gmail.com
  Reporter: paulo.fidalgo...@gmail.com

Hi!

Currently in my setup I use a laptop and an external keyboard. The laptop is a
Macbook Pro with a PT layout and a GB layout external keyboard.

The problem is the model is different and also the number of keys and some key
positions, so every time I need to change the keyboard layout I also need to
change the model.

So the ideal situation would be to set the model and layout (or layouts) used
based on keyboard model. I imagine that every time we connect a new keyboard we
would configure both the model and available layouts (when you want to use
different layouts on the same keyboard.)

Would this make sense to anyone else?

Reproducible: Always
