It would be cool to do both, IMO. I love that they are attached, so I
can easily find that session I couldn't attend. And for our folks who
couldn't come at all, or don't even know what Akademy is, a KDE
channel on YouTube or some free alternative.

2015-11-08 Thread Jonathan Riddell
I made a wiki page, please sign up to it if you want the saturday
party or can manage to help out on the stall

Volunteers needed for the stall, anyone know if we have any stuff we
can sell at it?

I've a spare bed in my hotel room if anyone wants to share

Jonathan

[kde-community] Fwd: Google Code in 2015 tasks needed NOW!

2015-11-08 Thread Lydia Pintscher
Hey folks :)

KDE is applying for Google Code-in again. We need a good number of
tasks in the next days in order to make a good application. If you
have some great tasks young people could work on over the next weeks
and you can mentor them a bit please add them.

Cheers
Lydia

Subject: Google Code in 2015 tasks needed NOW!
To: KDE SoC Mentor

Hello,

First of all, apologies for sending this so late.. :-(

Today I was preparing KDE's org application for the Google Code in and
realized that we need at least 25 task before we can submit the
application.

GCI is a great chance for collaboration in KDE. As a mentor you set
the direction and working scope around what you care about most.
You'll meet some bright and excited students that could become great
contributors in the future. Give them a friendly welcome and an extra
helping hand while they find their way into open source development!

Currently tasks in 5 categories are required :

- Code
- Documentation/Training
- Outreach/Research
- Quality Assurance
- User Interface

Some examples of such tasks can be found in past year's ideas page.

If you have such tasks, please add it to this Google form :
http://goo.gl/forms/FaIKQYy6DE

We need at least 25 tasks (5 in each categories) before 11th November
to submit our organization application.
