If it is OK this way, I can add it later today to the wiki page.

Hi, since I did not hear any oppositions, I just added the paragraph to the
wiki page draft.

Cheers,

True, although the core code is mostly plain Qt wrapper around Xapian.
We've (me, Laurent and few people on #kontact) been using it for couple
weeks - months now without any problems.

Ok, I don't really have any objections.

Тема: [Krusader-devel] Help needed for Krusader .desktop files
Дата: Tue, 21 Jul 2015 13:13:16 +0300

Dear Sirs: :-)

I saw the
 KF5 Porting Status
 http://developer.kde.org/~cfeck/portingstatus.html
and thanks to the latest improvements... now Krusader has more green (OK)
cells than ever! :-)

However, there's a red cell in the Krusader row, and it says
application .desktop filenames not yet updated to 'org.kde.' schema

I've searched for that 'org.kde.' schema, but the only information that I
found that was related is:
 - That review request:
Update .desktop files to use org.kde schema
 https://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/122785/diff/1#index_header
and maybe:
 -
http://plfiorini.blogspot.com.es/2015/07/how-to-make-your-qt-application-icon.html
 -
http://standards.freedesktop.org/desktop-entry-spec/latest/ar01s02.html

Has anyone dealt with something similar before or can solve that
application .desktop filenames not yet updated to 'org.kde.' schema
step?

Thanks!

Reviving Kaffeine

2015-07-21 Thread Lasse Lindqvist
I was thinking about reviving Kaffeine, but the previous developer hasn't
responded to me. The projects irc channel and sites are dead, too.

I was hoping someone here might be able to help me on this.

If it's unmaintained and previous maintainer isn't responding go for
it. If you can get others interested in it enough to do review of your
updates, even better.

If you didn't read
https://mail.kde.org/pipermail/plasma-devel/2013-December/027399.html
the previous maintainer tried to find someone interested but
it seems nobody stepped up, so have fun :)

 Hi all,

we (the KDE PIM team) kinda screwed up when we forgot to communicate our
 intentions about
next KDE PIM release with the release team and we ended up in a situation
 that we have
some repositories in modules from which they cannot be released as part of
 KDE Applications,
so releasing KF5-based KDE PIM as part of KDE Applications is currently
 endangered.

I have a related question about this (sorry for hijacking the thread), but
 as I'm moving translations around...
 - do you mean do you want to move those to modules to kdepim?

We don't want to merge it in kdepim
We want to move in KDE/ .
Dan confirmed that the destination module is the pim/ module/namespace.

 - do we need all kdepim, kdepim-runtime, kdepimlibs AND kde/pim?

 For what ?

For the release :)

Ciao

Normally I'd have to ask for the 2-week review period before moving the
 repos but since we are
under a big time pressure and because the modules have both proven
 themselves (see below),
I kindly ask for those repositories to be granted an exception to the
 review period and they
 can be moved right away.

akonadi-search repository contains PIM-specific code that originally
 lived in Baloo repository
and was split out when Baloo switched to KF5. We only ported the code to
 KF5 and removed all
mentions of Baloo from code (it's now Akonadi::Search namespace).
 Technically this code
already went through review when Baloo has been reviewed for move from
 playground, and also
during Baloo development, and has been actively used with KDE PIM 4.x
 for several releases.

akonadi I think has proven itself well enough in during the years :)

I'd like to move both repositories to kde/pim module where other KDE PIM
 repos (mostly those
 split from kdepimlibs) currently live.

If that's fine with everyone I'd request the move ASAP.

Hi all,

if there are no objections, I'll request the repos to be move later in the
afternoon.

Thanks,
Dan

 Cheers,
 Daniel
