After recently having had a look at the QCA code I don't think the code is
"good".

On the other hand, I reached the conclusion that since crypto code is hard, it's still
better to have QCA where we have 1 place of "bad" code instead of having 20
places with bad code, that's why i gave it some maintaining time.

And thank you very much for that, Albert. It's really important and
appreciated.

Also, who does use qca? It's probably at the same level of phonon, so being
released as part of the release service may not be the proper solution.

I'm not sure the jump in [tarball] version number would be
appreciated/understood by distros/developers using it/etc.

Yes, it's an indepently released software.

and I can't tell when the last release was.

https://download.kde.org/stable/qca/ ?

https://invent.kde.org/libraries/qca/-/tags ?

Aha, tags! Of course.

Yes, I was musing whether it could or should move to the release service.

You mean moving it to the release service?

FWIW We're planning a 2.3.1 release "soon"
https://invent.kde.org/libraries/qca/-/issues/5
