One should not just use CMake 3.3.1. That's likely a bug in kf5-solid.

kde@ needs an exp-run for updating the PyQt4-related ports in the tree. This
was somewhat tested in bug 204672, but we need to do this separately from the
PyQt5 bits.

Please make sure the ports tree is at r403297 or later.

Hi,

Thanks. I installed it, but it looks a bit crude. And I can't get the
config file to be read:

$ ls -l `pwd`/.config/xdecorations.rc
-rw-r--r--  1 guru  wheel  7235  8 dic 19:39 /home/guru/.config/xdecorations.rc
$ truss -o tr xdecorations
^C

$ fgrep xdecorations.rc tr
$

The truss output also shows that nearly all pixmaps are missing, like:

open("/usr/local/share/xdecorations/pixmaps/Xmas/Falling/1.10.48.png",O_RDONLY,0666)
 ERR#2 'No such file or directory'
open("/usr/local/share/xdecorations/pixmaps/Xmas/Falling/1.10.48.png",O_RDONLY,0666)
 ERR#2 'No such file or directory'
open("/usr/local/share/xdecorations/pixmaps/Xmas/Falling/1.10.48.png",O_RDONLY,0666)
 ERR#2 'No such file or directory'

Btw: Do you have ever seen 'xsnow' on your screen?

Thanks anyway

matthias

2015-12-08 Thread T.C.Berner
Hi Matthias

Yes, xdecorations does not seem to work with the configuration file. But
passing the options
via command line seems to work "mostly" -- maybe it was a bad idea to pull
the latest commit
for the port ^^ ... proably one could find the problem in the source code.
xdecorations -help give you the possible values.

No, I never gave xsnow itself a shot (I only found xdecorations after a
google search for xsnow+kde).

When I login, though, after a fresh boot, I *do* get a login sound of sorts. I
don't know if that's KDE though, or something else. Subsequent tests via
systemsettings or juk don't give any sound. cvlc plays, and I've got VLC set
as Phonon backend.

[kde-freebsd] [Bug 205149] x11/kde4-workspace: kwin_opengl_test fails with segmentation fault

2015-12-08 Thread bugzilla-noreply
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=205149

Bug ID: 205149
   Summary: x11/kde4-workspace: kwin_opengl_test fails with
segmentation fault
   Product: Ports & Packages
   Version: Latest
  Hardware: Any
OS: Any

Hi. Noticed yesterday that desktop effects weren't working on my FreeBSD
10.2-RELEASE-p8 amd64 box. /usr/local/lib/kde4/libexec/kwin_opengl_test keeps
seg-faulting on me. I rebuilt kde4-workspace and nvidia-driver with
WITH_DEBUG=yes and managed to get a decent backtrace:

#0  0x00080697d201 in pthread_mutexattr_setkind_np () from /lib/libthr.so.3
[New LWP 100731]
(gdb) bt

#8  0x000800603439 in .text () from /libexec/ld-elf.so.1
#9  0x in ?? ()

Now, pthread_mutexattr_setkind_np reminded me of this bug:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=203372

For a test, I ran the program this way: LD_PRELOAD=/lib/libthr.so.3
kwin_opengl_test . It worked fine, no seg fault.

I think the issue might be that nvidia's libGL.so.1 doesn't link to libthr.so.3
. Here's a LDD of the file:

/usr/local/lib/.nvidia/libGL.so.1:
libnvidia-tls.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.1 (0x801736000)
libnvidia-glcore.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libnvidia-glcore.so.1
(0x801a0)
libX11.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x80453a000)
libXext.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x804873000)
libc.so.7 => /lib/libc.so.7 (0x800821000)
libm.so.5 => /lib/libm.so.5 (0x804a84000)
libxcb.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libxcb.so.1 (0x804cad000)
librpcsvc.so.5 => /usr/lib/librpcsvc.so.5 (0x804ecc000)
libXau.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXau.so.6 (0x8050d5000)
libpthread-stubs.so.0 => /usr/local/lib/libpthread-stubs.so.0
(0x8052d7000)
libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXdmcp.so.6 (0x8054d8000)

Anyway, I have no idea how to actually fix it. Linking libthr before libGL
might do it, (kwin_opengl_test does link to libthr according to ldd) but I have
no idea how to make that happen.

/usr/local/lib/.nvidia/libGL.so.1:
libnvidia-tls.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libnvidia-tls.so.1 (0x801736000)
libnvidia-glcore.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libnvidia-glcore.so.1
(0x801a0)
libX11.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x80453a000)
libXext.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXext.so.6 (0x804873000)
libc.so.7 => /lib/libc.so.7 (0x800821000)
libm.so.5 => /lib/libm.so.5 (0x804a84000)
libxcb.so.1 => /usr/local/lib/libxcb.so.1 (0x804cad000)
librpcsvc.so.5 => /usr/lib/librpcsvc.so.5 (0x804ecc000)
libXau.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXau.so.6 (0x8050d5000)
libpthread-stubs.so.0 => /usr/local/lib/libpthread-stubs.so.0
(0x8052d7000)
libXdmcp.so.6 => /usr/local/lib/libXdmcp.so.6 (0x8054d8000)

Anyway, I have no idea how to actually fix it. Linking libthr before libGL
might do it, (kwin_opengl_test does link to libthr according to ldd) but I have
no idea how to make that happen.

[kde-freebsd] plasma5 -- choqok with kf5/kde5 and qt5

2015-12-08 Thread Ramiro Caso
Hi all,

I've installed plasma5, and it's working really great. I have ported the git
version of choqok, which uses kf5/kde5 and qt5, no kde4 or qt4 dependencies.
It's working fine as far as I can tell, and I wanted to know whether there was
interest in having it available. It requires some changes in existing ports, and
new ports also, so I'm not sure whether it will break something somewhere
(though nothing bad happened in my system until now):

- new www/choqok-kf5 port (just to give it a name) --- from git
- new net/qoauth-qt5 port (again, just to give it a name) --- from git
- modified devel/qca-qt5 port (in an include file, qca_safetimer.h, so I'm not
  sure whether this will break something else)
- modified devel/xdg-utils port (xdg-open calls for kde-open, and
  plasma-kde-cli-tools provides kde-open5) --- or some other way of dealing with
  the issue (symlink?)

Additionally, the corresponding CONFLICTS should be included in
www/choqok/Makefile. I'm not sure whether conflict with the existing qoauth
port can be avoided.

It's the first time I'm doing this, so things are hackish, but if there is
interest, I can share.

Ramiro
