[Bug 278658] [exp-run] Update Qt6 to 6.7.0
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=278658 --- Comment #17 from ru...@bogodyn.org --- Whatever my issue was, deleting all the qt6- ports (plus wireshark) then just reinstalling wireshark got all the packages installed properly, including all those that had failed to upgrade with staging errors when updating via portupgrade. I am always loathe to try the "delete and reinstall" approach lest it not work and I be left without some tool I need, but in this case it solved whatever weird problem I had. It was not a build-out-of-order issue, since the things that should have been updated first were updated first without problem. But it's clearly not an issue with pkg-plists or other such problems. Quoting Emily Littella: "Never mind." -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=278658 --- Comment #15 from ru...@bogodyn.org --- And to eliminate the possibility that it's just an update out-of-order issue, I've deleted all the qt6 packages I have and am deleting/reinstalling the one package (wireshark) that needed them to see if it pukes trying to satisfy its dependencies. That'll take a bit to confirm. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=278658 --- Comment #14 from ru...@bogodyn.org --- I am not updating piecemeal, I'm using portupgrade which is supposedly updating them in order taking account interdependencies into account. qt6-declarative was, in fact, updated already by that process: > pkg info 'qt6-*' qt6-5compat-6.6.3 qt6-base-6.7.0 qt6-base_sqldriver-sqlite-6.7.0 qt6-declarative-6.7.0 qt6-languageserver-6.7.0 qt6-multimedia-6.6.3 qt6-quick3d-6.6.3 qt6-quicktimeline-6.6.3 qt6-shadertools-6.7.0 qt6-svg-6.7.0 qt6-tools-6.6.3 The ones that weren't updated are those that either failed to portupgrade because of staging issues or build issues, or depended on those that failed. > pkg info -d qt6-5compat qt6-5compat-6.6.3: libxkbcommon-1.7.0_1 qt6-shadertools-6.7.0 qt6-declarative-6.7.0 libglvnd-1.7.0 qt6-base-6.7.0 icu-74.2_1,1 > pkg info -d qt6-tools qt6-tools-6.6.3: libxkbcommon-1.7.0_1 qt6-declarative-6.7.0 libglvnd-1.7.0 qt6-base-6.7.0 llvm15-15.0.7_10 zstd-1.5.6 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=278658 --- Comment #13 from Jason E. Hale --- (In reply to russo from comment #12) We don’t recommend updating the Qt stack in a piecemeal manner as there is a certain order that the ports must be built. > -- Promoting target to global: 'Qt6::qmake' > Skipping the build as the condition "TARGET Qt::Quick" is not met. Based on the targets not built (missing from STAGEDIR) and the above error, my best guess is x11-toolkits/qt6-declarative was not updated before trying to build these other ports. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
