Latest kdenlive

2019-12-05 Thread Mettavihari D
Greetings

We have been using kdenlive on our production during the last 4-5 years.
Before kdenlive we were using cinelerra

Our setup is the standard ubuntu LTS version and kdenlive from the
repositories.

I note that the version we are working with is 15.x.x

On the list you talk about version 19.x.x

Would you recommend us to build our own updated version, and if so where
should i take the source code from.

We use the kdenlive in a production environment on about 20 PCs all running
Ubuntu LTS and would like to have a somewhat stable version.

We are, along with that, also happy to compile the occasional test version
if the community needs it.

We regularly build our own ffmpeg version

Regards
Mettavihari

Re: A story of a former Kdenlive's user (switched to Olive)

2019-05-12 Thread Mettavihari D
Greetings from Sri Lanka

We are clear Open Source Users, started with Cinelerra some years ago,
after that switched to Kdenlive with blender to support in the graphics.
I still like the basic cinerella.

Sure we will also try Olive, but at present we have close to 50 PCs running
Ubuntu and Kdenlive.

So thanks to all of you for staying alive.
We do not talk much on the list, but at least you know that you have
users, who are happy that you exist.

Greetings

We are also using kdenlive to capture from blackmagic.

We look forward to have the December version with this facility back again

Presently we stay with the older version that has this facility.
