Hi jdd Zoom into the timeline until you see frames. Is there a single frame on the begin of track V1? Dunno how it come, may be some unknown (by me) option activated by error? I have a clip in the timeline. I cut a part, remove the left part and try to move the rest of the clip to the left, the beginning of the track. I can't, there is a small gap on the far left. I zoom and see below the 00.00.00... and above the clip a small green thing. I can change the with of this thing and enlarge or make it unsignificant, so I can live with it. If I don't remove it I get a short black period on the beginning of the rendered video. my kdenlive is rendering right now, and for a long time, so I can't show the green, but on the screencopy below it's just above the 00010.MTS when I see it What is that? thanks jdd

I don't know. I use kdenlive to cut a very long take (4 hours, group show) in clips of one song. What I do most of the time is searching the end of the song, cut the track, remove the right part and save the result as a numbered project. Then I render. once the rendering started, I close the render windows, cancel the remove action, remove the rendered clip, and move the rest of the track full left. I noticed I couldn't go up to the beginning, I had to remove "something" nearly invisible, at the beginning, seems to be this green part. not sure :-(, never had this before (I use kdenlive for more than 10 years now) thanks jdd -- c'est quoi, usenet? http://www.dodin.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Usenet.Usenet

Hi jdd, I believe that you are referring to the indicator showing the part of the timeline that is selected for partial renders (when you do not want to render the entire project) or for inserting preview zones. You can change the size and position of the timeline selection by dragging its handles with the mouse or by using the "I" and "O" keys on the keyboard (for In and Out) based on the cursor position on the timeline. I hope I am not mistaking in what you are referring to in the screenshot.
