I know it is configurable via menu - settings - keyboard shortcuts, but
nevertheless it would be useful, because custom templates are configurable in
Kmail settings (and basic templates are not).

So when you do a small or bigger templates management, it is more useful to
have all controls in one place, instead of switching back and forth between
settings and keyboard settings.

KMail starts every time I log in. I have chosen Restore manually saved
session in KControl, and I have saved the session using the Save session on
the KDE-menu when KMail was not running. Nevertheless, KMail still starts up
every time, immediately after I log in to KDE.

Today I changed reply and reply to all templates, so I can see the difference
between them. I reply to such mail:
sender: my friend
to: probably list
cc: me, other people

and despite I reply to the author (only!), template reply to all is used. It
would be correct if I used reply to all function, but I didn't.

Till yesterday I worked using KDE 3.5.8 and if I am not mistaken KMail
enterprise. There was QS but it was for a long time (and not only enterprise).

Now I have KDE 3.5.9 installed with regular KMail and QS is gone, the only sign
it was there is one keyboard shortcut -- clear QS. And that's it, everything
else is not there.

Please bring it back -- it was a useful feature.

Thomas, do you use regular KMail after update from enterprise? Where should
look exactly, i.e. what key?

The surprising thing is that all QS related items (except for clear in keyboard

My knowledge of KMail internals is limited so I only found QS key active or
inactive. I can turn on/off QS box this way :-) but since keyboard shortcuts,
menu entries are gone I cannot do this on fly.

Is there any way user could add menus/shortcuts via rc files?

Kontact often crashes after having been up a long time (a few hours).

Sometimes it crashes without me doing anything, and often when I close it.

This may be linked to networking problems : it used to crash much more when I
checked my newsgroups every minute (around 100 groups on a local leafnode
server).

Sometimes, KCrash cannot get a backtrace, but today I got one, so I'm posting
it here...

to-dos.

try starting korganizer by itself first

that does not work as the traceback of korganizer indicates, which i added to
the bugreport.

find calendar events and to-dos with binary attachments
and remove the attachments from them.
 then restart.

I would like to do so, but without a running korganizer i can hardly access
those events and to-dos.

Is there another way to deal with the problem?

regards, and thanks for your patience :-)

Summary: attaching files into kmail needs 2 clicks
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.9.9
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: mmodem00 gmail com

Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, Mandriva Linux release 2008.0 (Official)
for x86_64)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-mandriva-linux-gnu
OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24.3-laptop-3mde

when attaching files in kmail, and this only happens when more than one files
is selected, it needs 2 clicks so that the files get attached.
Seams that the filenames are first added into the Path field with first click,
and only with the second click is that files are finally attached.

This doesnt happen when only one file is selected to be attached.

I access the same two mail accounts via IMAP from home and from office. One of
the two accounts is configured as Disconnected IMAP at home, but as a regular
IMAP at the office.

Almost every day, when I come home, I find KMail dead from SIGFPE (Floating
Point Error). I presume, this is due to my manipulating of e-mails from the
office via regular IMAP, that affects the home KMail's calculations and causes
it to divide by 0 or some such...
