When typing an email address in the "to" field, initially auto completion shows
the addresses in the local addressbook under resource. However, when LDAP

Right now only kmail has the option choose whether to work offline or online.
However, I noticed that when kmail is set to work offline akregator still tries
to connect to the internet. Therefore I would like to suggest on global

Instead of a cryptic filename it would be nice to have the subject of the mail
as the filename (like it was handled under BeOS). It would allow the user to
backup and/or archive at least the entire mail folder and make it easier to use
the mails later and/or on another system without an email program. Especially
because Kmail can only save a mail with the .mbox extention through the menu.
The option to save an email as .txt file would be nice to.

Kmail uses to have this failure on IMAP folders: sometimes it starts showing

Hi, Thomas.

Unfortunately it's hard to tell how to reproduce it. I have been using its IMAP
support for almost two weeks now and I was just /suspecting/ that I was loosing
emails, until some hours ago I saw how Kmail deleted all of my new emails after
a crash. The emails I manually marked as "unread" were not deleted.

Most of the emails I'm aware I've lost are affected by filters, which I've
attached to this bug. But I suspect I've also lost emails not affected by
filters.

Please provide steps to reproduce the problem (the other bug report is rather
old and probably a mix of all kind of problems).

Are you using filters? Do you loose every mail or just some mails? If you loose
only some mails, which do you loose? When do you loose mails? When
synchronizing or when doing other actions?

Providing minimal steps to help us reprodcue the problem would be really
appreciated. The best way would be to start with a new config (for example with
a new user) and a new mail account, and then finding a way to reliably
reproduce the problem.

I have experienced the same as in Bug #63353 with Disconnected IMAP under Kmail
1.9.51 (KDE 4, 1st beta), *except* that I lost emails even if Kontact didn't
crash (and if it crashes, Kmail deletes unread emails from the server! So
there's no way to recover them).

If you cannot reproduce it, I can provide you with an email account at my
server; I don't know if it's an issue specific to my server-side IMAP software
and Kmail.

It is, both the anti-spam wizard and the filter settings use the same folder

The mail is not a vaild MIME message.
This seems to be a bug in the mailing list software, which adds unsubscribe
information to the mail in plain text, even though the mail body is encoded in
base64.

The mailing list software should add a new body part instead, or respect the
encoding.

Is this a local maildir, local mbox, or IMAP folder?

No backtrace available, but almost certainly a duplicate
which should be fixed in KMail 1.9.9
