[Bug 166366] New: Unable to check multiple pop3 accounts at the same time

2008-07-12 Thread Alex
--- You are receiving this mail because: ---

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166366
Summary: Unable to check multiple pop3 accounts at the same time
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.10.0
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: lynix47 googlemail com

Version: 1.10.0 (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from:Compiled From Sources
OS:Linux

Checking more than one pop3-account simultaneously (by pressing "Check Mail")
fails for me at the third account with the message

"Could not connect to host pop.gmx.net: Unknown error." (for example)

All following accounts then fail with the same message.

When I check the accounts separately everything works fine.
In detail there are ten accounts to bechecked, all over POP3 using TLS.

I don't know which information you need additionally, so please ask :)

Kind regards,

lynix

  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Version: 1.9.9 (using 3.5.9, compiled sources)
Compiler: Target: amd64-undermydesk-freebsd
OS:FreeBSD (amd64) release 7.0-STABLE

I wanted to print a long e-mail I was still composing to show someone else, who
was far away from a computer.

The e-mail was composed utilizing some of the limited HTML-capabilities
currently provided by KMail -- some words were in Italic-slant.

The print-out -- from the Message-Print menu -- contained nothing but the
"fancy" header.

Printing text-only compositions works, but for HTML the only work-around is to
save the message as a draft, and then print it from the main GUI -- not from
the mail-editor.

I 've got a similar problem with opensuse11.0 - kmail 1.9.51 - kde 4.0.4:::

In account-settings there is the possibility to leave messages on the server
when checking mail, but:

If on a pop-account the
"leave fetched messages on the server" (1) is enabled
not specifying any of the other possibilities
- "leave messages on the server for 'x' days" (2)
- "keep only the last 'x' messages" (3)
- "keep only the last 'x' MB" (4),
then the messages remain on the server

The following combination (1) + (2) works as well

But the combinations (1) + (3) or (1) + (4) don't work at all: all messages are
removed from the server.

It seems that in [Composer][Toolbar htmlToolBar] section of kmailrc, the
setting "Hidden=true" is not set and when it is set, KMail ignores it. If I set
this value manually and start KMail, the value is overwritten with "true".

The formatting (HTML) also depends on another option in the composer.

Could you please try to reproduce the problem with a clean config file (either
by deleting (+backup) your kmailrc or with a new user)?

And please post the exact steps how to reproduce this with a fresh config then.

Thanks for reopening. Well I always used Firefox so I didn't notice it but
indeed I think I do have these problems: websites start loading but Konqueror
stops after the first few objects (images). After a long break in which I only
see a white page the site gets rendered without all the elements that haven't
been loaded so far.

Sorry for not mentioning this but as I said I didn't use Konqueror.
How can I get rid of this?
