Ok, tried this another time and seems to be fixed.
Tested with
- KDE 4.1.2
- KMail 1.10.1
- Qt 4.4.3
from the OpenSUSE 11.0 repositories.

[Bug 172361] New: avoid subfolders for IMAP recourcen of groupware

2008-10-07 Thread Jan
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172361

Summary: avoid subfolders for IMAP recourcen of groupware
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version:(using KDE 4.1.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

in KDE 3.5 it was possible to create subfolders direct of an emailaccount.
unfortunally at my emailacccount it is not possible to create subfolders in
folders (f.e. in inbox). they should be created in mainfolder (same level as
inbox).
with format "kolab" it never was possible to choose (it want to create
subfolders in inbox).
with kde 4.1 i can use standard (ical/Vcard) only in the same way. it seems to
me, that i've to select a subfolder (f.e. inbox) where the new folders
(kontact, notes,...) will be created. if i select the mainfolder (my
accountname) no new folders will be created and the imap recources doesn't work
for the groupware.

[Bug 172362] New: external editor program opened needlessly

2008-10-07 Thread Stefano Crocco
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172362

Summary: external editor program opened needlessly
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version:(using Devel)
Installed from:Compiled sources

I think this is the same bug as bug 48841 but, since that was for another
version of KMail, I decided to create a new one. Sorry if I should have done
otherwise.

Using an external editor in the composer, if I press keys like Ctrl, Shift or
Alt (alone), the external editor is launched, even if it shouldn't. I noticed
it when I pressed Ctrl+Enter to send the mail and got the "The external editor
is still running." message box, but it happens for all keys (of course, the
focus should be in the message widget, not in the From, To, Subject or other
widgets).

[Bug 172365] New: kmail won't fetch email

2008-10-07 Thread C . Wizard
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172365

   Summary: kmail won't fetch email
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.9.10
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Version: 1.9.10 (using KDE 3.5.10)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

KMail will not retrieve e-mail.

I'm running KMail 1.9.10, on KDE 3.5.10, in Kubuntu 8.04, amd_64,
and trying to retreive from a pop server (gmail). Kmail has ran fine for the
last two years, that is,
until now.

One minute it was fine, a few minutes later it wouldn't respond to a request to
check mail (pop).

There is no error message. There is no response from KMail of any kind.
Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

I've un-installed KMail, several times, removed any trace of it, including the
e-mail ID and configure files, and re-installed it from scratch. No joy. Each
and every time the result is the same, it won't retrieve e-mail.

I've checked the dependencies and they are all installed. This has to be an bug
within KMail.

I've done some research on the 'Net and it turns out this is a more common
problem than I first thought. Trouble is, no one has the answer.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

To reproduce select some text from an email before pressing ctrl-a. Clash
between kmail shortcuts and khtmlpart shortcuts.

Fix follows.

Fixed with revision 869030. I think it would be a good idea to remove all
actions from khtmlpart or at to add the actions from this collection to kmails
shortcuts editor.

Currently there is a great chance for more conflicts. Triggered for example by
users changing some kmail shortcut and producing a conflict without the chance
to notice or understand what happens.
