Confirm on Kmail version 1.11.2 with KDE 4.2.2.
After entering a folder of a new IMAP account with many emails, I spend a lot
of time when Kmail load the folder!
1. Kmail download all messages with body and attachments
2. After that I see that all messages removes from the list on display
one-by-one.
3. Kmail uploads all messages again to account and I see that all messages
return to list one-by-one.

I can't found how I can disable this. I remove all filters and try to disable
Anti-spam bogofilter (how can I totally disable it?) but it isn't help.

[Bug 191588] Kontact crashed while clicking at a link (Feed window)

--- Comment #2 from Alex Back alex back gmx de 2009-05-05 10:31:49 ---
@Jaime Torres
Seems to look like bug #188871.

Unfortunately I do not remember exactly which link I clicked. I opened a feed
item of a news site ( http://www.heise.de ) and I think I've clicked at the
Comments link at the bottom of the news article.

The crash isn't reproducable. I've encountered the first time.

I guess you can mark it as DUPLICATE.

[Bug 191666] New: strace shows access missing icons when showing html mails

2009-05-05 Thread DonMartio
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191666

Summary: strace shows access missing icons when showing html

OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Version: 1.11.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: gcc-4.1.2

Installed from:Gentoo Packages

Everytime i receive an html mail kmail slows down my whole machine.

When i connect to the running kmail process using strace i get a lot of this:

access(/usr/kde/4.2/share/icons/oxygen/64x64/intl/image.svg, R_OK) = -1
ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/usr/kde/4.2/share/icons/oxygen/64x64/intl/image.svg, R_OK) = -1
ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/usr/kde/4.2/share/icons/oxygen/64x64/mimetypes/image.svg, R_OK) = -1
ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/usr/kde/4.2/share/icons/oxygen/64x64/mimetypes/image.svg, R_OK) = -1
ENOENT (No such file or directory)
access(/usr/kde/4.2/share/icons/oxygen/64x64/places/image.svg, R_OK) = -1
ENOENT (No such file or directory)

This is a little bit anoying. Is there any way to stop this 'lookup things you
know they arent there'?

I can confirm this bug in 1.11.90, KDE 4.2.71 (from KDEmod unstable packages).

This is really quite annoying and is a total blocker if, like me, you use your
inbox as your sent folder, to get all the messages threaded together. I'm
actually unable to reply to any email in this set up!

Help please :-)

It is a little unlogical (to me) that I first create a default filter and then
rename it. Everyone who uses more than one filter always has to rename created
filter.

Summary: New options on right click for folders in the folders
view
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: poth...@gmail.com

Version:(using Devel)
Installed from:Compiled sources

Could it be possible to add an option when you right click on a folder so it
opens up in a new tab? it would be faster than clicking new tab then clicking
on the folder of your choice.

CCing David Faure as it seems to be related to a KIO error.
BTW: thanks for the comments about the new crash reporting tool.

[Bug 191753] New: kmail eats up all memory trying to build a QList

2009-05-05 Thread Frank Thieme
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191753

Summary: kmail eats up all memory trying to build a QList
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.11.2
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: fr...@fthieme.net

Version: 1.11.2 (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.3.3
OS:Linux
Installed from:Unspecified Linux

I'm using kmail inside of kontact on an archlinux system with kdemod installed:

kdemod-kdepim-kmail 4.2.2-1
kdemod-kdepim-kontact 4.2.2-1
qtmod 4.5.1-1

I have 3 dIMAP accounts and from time to time (not every day, but at least once
a week) I experience a moment, where kmail eats up all memory trying to do
something. At the end it dies with SIGABRT and the last message in
.xsession-errors is, that QList can't allocate memory.

As a side effect the kmailrc file is huge, right now about 6mb. There is one
UIDStatusChangedLocally line, that reaches infinity.

When I try to open kmail again it will start eating memory and die again.

Only solution is to find the line making kmailrc that big and find the place
where it repeats and truncate it right there. At the moment it reads:

UIDStatusChangedLocally=19627,19627,19627,...

but normally there is more than just one number there. When I truncate that
line and start kontact/kmail again, everything is working fine, till the next
time...

After truncating the line, kmailrc is now just 128kb big...
