[Bug 191883] New: KMail disregards locale settings in message group headers

2009-05-07 Thread Roman Odaisky
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191883

Summary: KMail disregards locale settings in message group
headers
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: to.roma.from.kde...@qwertty.com

Version:(using KDE 4.2.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

KMail seems to use the M/D/YY format for message group headers no matter how
KDE is configured. For example, I prefer the European setting of DD.MM.,
KMail does use it in the “Date” column but when collapsing messages into groups
it uses M/D/YY. It looks like this:

SubjectSender Date
[ 5/7/09]
[v 5/6/09]
- Hi there!someone06.05.2009 00:00
  - Re: Hi there! somebody 06.05.2009 10:10
  Re: Hi there!someone06.05.2009 20:20
[ 5/5/09]

while I’d expect KMail to honor locale settings (in my case, MM.DD. date
format) in the headers of message groups as it does in the Date headers.

[Bug 189464] Unable to reply to messages in Sent folder

2009-05-07 Thread Richard Bos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=189464

--- Comment #6 from Richard Bos richard bos xs4all nl 2009-05-07 14:28:33 ---
My workaround at the moment for this problem is, to copy or move the e-mail
from
the Sent folder to my inbox. It is than possible to reply on the e-mail,
however, this should not be necessary.

[Bug 191908] New: Quoted Text font size setting is broken

2009-05-07 Thread Tristan Miller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191908

Summary: Quoted Text font size setting is broken
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: psychon...@nothingisreal.com

Version:(using KDE 4.2.2)
Installed from:SuSE RPMs

In Configure KMail-Appearance-Fonts, the user can select a font style to
apply to Quoted Text at the first, second, and third levels. When the Apply
to: drop-down box is set to one of these options, the Font: and Size:
lists are greyed out, while the Font style: list and the Size: spinner are
left active. (See attached screenshot.)

This does not make sense. Why is the Size: spinner active while the Size:
list is inactive? Either the user should be able to set the font size here, or
he should not be able to. Both widgets should be greyed out, or both widgets
should be active.

I suggest that both widgets should be active. KMail recently introduced a
setting to decrease the font size of quoted text (Appearance-Message
Window-Use smaller font for quoted text); however, this setting does not allow
the user to specify how much the text should be reduced. On my system, for
example, enabling this option causes quoted text to be reduced so much that
it's not easy to read. Why not get rid of this checkbox and simply allow the
user to select the font size for quoted text in the Fonts tab?

--- Comment #7 from eduard pertinez net 2009-05-07 18:10:23 ---
I agree it is a blocking bug (I use Mandriva 2009.1) for what is told already
here. I use too inbox as my sent folder (I don't know how you, the rest of the
world can do different).

So that means that i simply CANNOT REPLY TO ANY MESSAGE FROM INBOX!!! If reply
should be disabled (and I don't think so) the FROM address should be the filter
and not the folder the message is in.

Anyway, in any case that should be a changeable behaviour. I don't want the
system to tell me who I can and who I cannot reply to. I imagine some cases
were I maybe want to reply to myself if I use a shared account or I wanna write
down a following message that I read afterwards from another IMAP client, for
example.

[Bug 191956] New: show columns per folder

2009-05-07 Thread Edwin Schepers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191956

   Summary: show columns per folder
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.11.1
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: y...@familieschepers.nl

Version: 1.11.1 (using 4.2.1 (KDE 4.2.1), 4.2.1-4.fc11 Fedora)
Compiler: gcc
OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.29-0.258.2.3.rc8.git2.fc11.x86_64

Hi,
On the sent-mail folder, I choose Receiver as column as I don't need to know
the sender. But when I do this, it also affects my inbox ( where I don't need
to know the receiver).
My wish is to let the column settings be folder specific. Also, when sorting on
receiver in the sent-mail, I still want my inbox to be sorted on date.

Regards,
Edwin

I think it's in the akgregator component. I was running kmail and akgregator
separately and akgreator crashed with the following backtrace:

Application: Akregator (akregator), signal SIGSEGV

what do you need that for exactly?

if you don't like that it disables spellchecking if there are too many errors,
then I suggest changing the decision scope to a paragraph (i.e. don't highlight
paragraphs with too many errors)

My wish :

Implement timed email sending in kmail - if you send an email you can add a
time when the email will be sent out...

usages: you are coding @ night and dont want to show that you did your work @
3:00 in the night and it will send out on 8:00 when the office opens
