[Bug 192746] New: cannot reply to sent messages
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192746 Summary: cannot reply to sent messages Product: kmail Version: 1.11.3 Platform: FreeBSD Ports OS/Version: FreeBSD Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: silver.salo...@gmail.com Version: 1.11.3 (using KDE 4.2.3) OS:FreeBSD Installed from:FreeBSD Ports I often use to reply to my own messages when I want to send a follow-up to a thread. In the new KMail it's just not possible as replying to e-mails in sent-folders is disabled. It's very-very annoying. Is there at least any option to disable this "feature"? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 171028] when editing a new mail, the cursor is very slow to be moved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171028 San changed: What|Removed |Added CC||san.vu-n...@laposte.net --- Comment #9 from San 2009-05-15 10:51:48 --- well I still have this problem in KDE 4.2.3 (kubuntu jaunty + ppa) run "top" in a konsole and just open the kmail editor and start typing in the middle of a long line: "top" reports that xorg uses 80% of CPU ! (yes I mean xorg, not kmail itself) of course it soon becomes very slow and often continue typing a couple a seconds after your fingers have stopped... I must say this is really annoying (especially when you have colleagues peaking at your screen :( ...) To compare, doing the same typing in an emacs window makes xorg use about 15%CPU... In have the feeling that the problem gets even worse when I connect an external monitor to my laptop (a Dell using intel graphics) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 192788] New: multiple downloads of mails with IMAP?
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192788 Summary: multiple downloads of mails with IMAP? Product: kmail Version: 1.11.2 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: michael.goffi...@gmail.com Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: cc OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.28-12-generic I just started to use kontact recently, I was using Evolution since then. I am using an IMAP account and I noticed that kmail was significantly slower to download/open some mails (more than 10x slower: evolution loads a message in a fraction of a second, kmail spends several seconds) While trying to figure out why, I enabled the full detail progress window and noticed that kmail was processing multiple downloads in parallel (see screenshot, up to 8 downloads). This seems to slow down the whole message loading. I'm not sure this is normal or not. If it is, is there any workaround? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 185122] The application Kontact (kontact) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185122 har...@owc.net changed: What|Removed |Added CC||har...@owc.net --- Comment #5 from2009-05-15 17:29:28 --- I have the latest updates installed from launchpad. After marking a to-do completed ( feature add journal entry enabled), noticed that to-do data was entered to a journal entry created earlier in the day, instead of a new entry. After this, trying to edit ANY previous journal entry crashes with a signal 11. Creating a new Journal entry does not cause a crash, only on re-edit. All other modules work as expected. Like before, a symbol, or index tag in the *.ics file got corrupted on write. I looked at the *.ics file with an editor, and could not see any VJOURNAL tags mismatched. Would any html tags in the journal body be causing this? I copy and paste from web pages text to the journal as supporting to correspondence I receive. The rich text toggle is off. I believe that there were problems earlier with corruption on load when reading in the VJOURNAL sections. The fix then was to remove the entries from the *.ics file, save, then Kontact would load ok. I also could not get the Knotes module in Kontact to see older Knotes VJOURNAL entries I restored in the Knotes directory. Forcing the machine one step forward I checked again mail, and crash. -- Backtrace: Application: KMail (kmail), signal: Aborted [KCrash Handler] #5 0x7f5f18e86645 in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #6 0x7f5f18e87c33 in abort () from /lib64/libc.so.6 #7 0x7f5f1ad911fd in qt_message_output (msgType=QtFatalMsg, buf=) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/global/qglobal.cpp:2006 #8 0x7f5f1ad9133b in qFatal (msg=) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/global/qglobal.cpp:2201 #9 0x7f5f1d770a8d in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::removeMessageFromSubjectBasedThreadingCache (this=, mi=0x15ca430) at /g/kde4svn/kdepim/kmail/messagelistview/core/model.cpp:1631 #10 0x7f5f1d774be3 in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::viewItemJobStepInternalForJobPass1Cleanup (this=0xbceaf0, job=0x2b420a0, tsta...@0x7fff2684c1a0) at /g/kde4svn/kdepim/kmail/messagelistview/core/model.cpp:3052 #11 0x7f5f1d7760c4 in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::viewItemJobStepInternalForJob (this=0xbceaf0, job=0x2b420a0, tsta...@0x7fff2684c1a0) at /g/kde4svn/kdepim/kmail/messagelistview/core/model.cpp:3387 #12 0x7f5f1d77677e in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::viewItemJobStepInternal (this=0xbceaf0) at /g/kde4svn/kdepim/kmail/messagelistview/core/model.cpp:3728 #13 0x7f5f1d776d9a in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::viewItemJobStep (this=0xbceaf0) at /g/kde4svn/kdepim/kmail/messagelistview/core/model.cpp:3884 #14 0x7f5f1d440ac8 in KMail::MessageListView::Core::Model::qt_metacall (this=0xbceaf0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=, _a=0x7fff2684c470) at /g/build/kdepim/kmail/moc_model.cpp:76 #15 0x7f5f1aea5a04 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0xbceb28, from_signal_index=, to_signal_index=4, argv=0x) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/kernel/qobject.cpp:3060 #16 0x7f5f1ae9eb33 in QObject::event (this=0xbceb28, e=0x41f3) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/kernel/qobject.cpp:1073 #17 0x7f5f19acf55d in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x6d1f70, receiver=0xbceb28, e=0x7fff2684cb40) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/gui/kernel/qapplication.cpp:4084 #18 0x7f5f19ad660e in QApplication::notify (this=0x7fff2684cf90, receiver=0xbceb28, e=0x7fff2684cb40) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/gui/kernel/qapplication.cpp:4049 #19 0x7f5f1e22089e in KApplication::notify (this=0x7fff2684cf90, receiver=0xbceb28, event=0x7fff2684cb40) at /g/kde4svn/kdelibs/kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:307 #20 0x7f5f1ae8dc33 in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0x7fff2684cf90, receiver=0xbceb28, event=0x7fff2684cb40) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:602 #21 0x7f5f1aebd51e in QTimerInfoList::activateTimers (this=0x6d5030) at ../../include/QtCore/../../../../kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:213 #22 0x7f5f1aeb9bfd in timerSourceDispatch (source=) at /g/kde4svn/qt-copy/src/corelib/kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:164 #23 0x7f5f0fff10fb in g_main_context_dispatch () from /usr/lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0 #24 0x7f5f0fff48cd in ?? This is when I noticed that editing the toolbar accomplishes nothing. I tried moving some buttons, adding new ones, to no avail. It seems that the toolbar falls back to the default config. Its state doesn't reflect what's shown in Configure toolbars. This regression seems to affect every toolbar in the program. Reproduced it with the main toolbar and the compose window, at any rate.
