[Bug 197696] New: 'status' not in the filter list of 'Find Messages'

2009-06-23 Thread Parameshwara Bhat
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197696

Summary: 'status' not in the filter list of 'Find Messages'
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.11.2
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: peeb...@gmail.com

Version: 1.11.2 (using 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2) "release 110",
KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.27.23-0.1-default

I wanted to create a filter for unread messages as in Opera. Then when I began
creating filter, realized 'status' of message is not part of filterable
criteria.

Is this intentional or an oversight?

I have recently started using kmail again.I have encountered this problem since
day one and all times. So,this should be reproducible easily.

[Bug 197647] "Folders" column really narrow and not resizable (can't read folder name)

2009-06-23 Thread Iñaki Baz Castillo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197647

--- Comment #2 from Iñaki Baz Castillo 2009-06-23 20:48:06 ---
There is a workaround:

By clicking with right button on top of "Folders" column 3 checkbos appear:
  [ ] Unread
  [ ] Total
  [ ] Size

I had all of them unchecked. By checking any of them the "Folders" column
automatically gets the correct width. After it I can again uncheck all the
checkboxes so "Folders" column now expands to use all the width available.

i have the same problem with a '!' in imap passwords with kubuntu jaunty. the
same for opensuse 11.1.

i do not use (and would like it not) k-wallet. at the end of kmail (or contact)
i am asked whether the password in the configuration file should be saved,
which i acknowledge.

the next time you start kmail (or kontact) an error message appears, that the
password is incorrect. i set the password in this dialog again and the password
remains valid until the end.

SVN commit 985927 by tmcguire:

Don't try to be smart about folder resizing, apparently sometimes you can
end up with the total size being too small or too big, and not being
resizeable.

Now the users need to manually resize the columns at all times.

(is there no sane way to have one expanding column while _all_ columns are
still
 resizeable in Qt?)

[Bug 197647] New: "Folders" column really narrow and not resizable (can't read folder name)

2009-06-23 Thread Iñaki Baz Castillo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197647

Summary: "Folders" column really narrow and not resizable
(can't read folder name)
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.11.90
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folder list
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: i...@aliax.net

Version: 1.11.90 (using 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)), Kubuntu
packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.28-11-generic

I attach an image which is self explanatory. The "Folders" column ("Carpetas"
in Spanish) is really narrow so the folder names are not shown, and it's not
resizable.
This occurs since the last upgrade to kmail 4.2.90-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2.

--- Comment #1 from Thomas McGuire 2009-06-23 20:46:54 ---
Although I can reproduce it, I have no idea what might be causing this.

Happens also with Kopete, so I assume KWin or kdelibs problem, reassigning to
KWin for now.

Fix crash due to accessing plugin icons in sidePane model

This fix is ugly; when the nested event loop is started, the window
will flash because of the removed sidePane. But it should not crash
anymore.

I will leave this bug open until someone can apply the better fix
(see comment #7)

[Bug 197624] New: Crash right-clicking multiple DIMAP folders

2009-06-23 Thread Mackenzie
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197624

Summary: Crash right-clicking multiple DIMAP folders
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: maco...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.0 pre
KDE Version: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2))
Qt Version: 4.5.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-9-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I changed properties on 2 different DIMAP folders. Then I selected about 20
folders from a single DIMAP account and right clicked. I was hoping to set the
identity for them all in one go. Kontact crashed immediately. It was also
syncing at the time, so this may be related.

Bug 180101 mentions changing properties on DIMAP folders as well, but the
stacktraces are very different.

I get this when I first deactivate the compatibilty resource and then attempt
to deactivate one of its sub resources.

Just deactivating the top entry does not crash here.

Can one of you who gets the crash at this stage tell me how many sub resources
their compat resource shows and whether they are activated/deactivated at the
time the top level activation is changed?

[Bug 197597] New: In KMail, message sorting does not work with "Important" column

2009-06-23 Thread Narendra Kadoo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197597

Summary: In KMail, message sorting does not work with
"Important" column
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.11.4
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: ka...@rediffmail.com

Version: 1.11.4 (using 4.2.4 (KDE 4.2.4), Arch Linux)
Compiler: gcc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.29-ARCH

In KMail, the messages cannot be sorted using the "Important" column. Sorting
works fine with Subject, Sender, Date and Size, but not with "Important". I
have not tried other columns.

[Bug 197116] Kontact crashed while filtering todo list

2009-06-23 Thread karaluh
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197116

--- Comment #5 from karaluh 2009-06-23 11:01:57 ---
The crash occurs only when trying to filter with the broken tasks view. The
view repairs itself, after I edit any todo item and I don't have the crash
then.

[Bug 197116] Kontact crashed while filtering todo list

2009-06-23 Thread karaluh
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197116

--- Comment #4 from karaluh 2009-06-23 10:56:47 ---
Created an attachment (id=34760)
 --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=34760)
Screenshot of lack of column headers

OK, I'm able to reproduce it again. It happens only in Kontact, because of some
specific conditions: when I start Kontact and switch to the Todo, the list is
empty. I have to switch to Callendar and back to the Todo to see the task list.
I then get two "empty" tasks and no column headers. See attached screenshot.

[Bug 197580] New: kmail kde4 beta2 segfault signal 11

2009-06-23 Thread David Rankin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=197580

   Summary: kmail kde4 beta2 segfault signal 11
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: drankina...@suddenlinkmail.com

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.11.90
KDE Version: 4.2.90 (KDE 4.2.90 (KDE 4.3 Beta2)) "release 139"
Qt Version: 4.5.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.25.20-0.4-default x86_64

What I was doing when the application crashed:
kmail has been pretty good on kde4 beta 2 thus far. I can't pinpoint what
caused it to crash this time. A few minutes before the crash, I had moved
several messages to the trash, but then decided I needed to reply to one of
them. I selected the trash folder, found the message, sent my reply, and then
went about my business going through several other emails.

Without warning, kmail just disappeared and the crash assistant appeared and
provided a 3-star backtrace. So here it is.

This is a very basic configuration of kmail with only 1 pop account configured
so far. I have a number of folders, but just one pop account. Let me know if
you need anything else.
