I've just fixed this, see bug 187989 (didn't realize that we have two bug
reports for this)

> Comment #5 seems to be spot on in its description of the problem.

Of course it is spot on, it is from Thiago after all :)

--- Comment #2 from Thomas McGuire 2009-07-27 00:35:53 ---
SVN commit 1002770 by tmcguire:

Also support multipart/alternative with text/plain and multipart/related as
children, instead
of the usual text/plain and text/html.

This fixes that the content of some Newsletters with images was rendered twice,
bot the HTML and
the plain text part was shown.

BUG: 187989

[Bug 200382] "Send" disables compose window but doesn't close it

2009-07-26 Thread Matt Whitlock
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200382

--- Comment #4 from Matt Whitlock 2009-07-26 21:16:30 ---
Got it to crash in a different way:

1. Reply to a message.
2. Click Send.
3. The composer window's contents gray out, but the composer window stays open.
4. Choose Quit from KMail's menu.
5. The main KMail window disappears, but the composer window is still there.
6. Close the composer window.
7. The KMail process is still running.
8. Invoke KMail again from the KDE applications menu.
9. The main KMail window reappears.
10. The status bar indicates there is a background task in progress, but
clicking the expand button reveals nothing.
11. Right-click on the Outbox, which still has the message sitting in it.
12. KMail crashes with the following dump:

Application: KMail (kmail), signal: Segmentation fault

I had this problem as well, but now with KDE 4.2.4 and Qt 4.5 on Gentoo, I
didn't have it for weeks. Seems like it's gone.

You may try KDE 4.3 RC3. (or wait for 4.3 final which will be available in a
few days)

I have attached an image showing this is still not right -- now on KDE 4.2.4
and KMail 1.11.4.

What do you see in your version? Both the folder and dialog referring to
Deleted Items or both referring to Wastebin?

My locale is also en_GB. (I have changed status to unconfirmed -- dunno if that
is the right thing to do? Apologies if not)
