If you have access to the (public) server nntp.perl.org, could you try to
reproduce you problem on this server.
I suspect that your problem is the same as the bug #193550

No, I do not have problems to read posts from that server. Only that from a
password protected. So my guess is, that is has to do with the protection.

[Bug 108674] Failure after sending Outgoing eMais (before this I had received and sent already)

--- Comment #2 from Daniel Jaime Daniel Jaime T-Online de 2009-09-14
09:10:27 ---
In the meantime my system crashed completely. The reason was simply not enough
space in the / (root) partition. However this was not obvious, since short
after booting the system shew little but enough space. Starting kmail and
firefox in parallel seems to have been enough to overload the system. And a lot
of applications did and still do not remove the files stored on /tmp which I
thought should contain only temporary files. I don't know if I may delete them
from time to time or when restarting my computer.

After a complete rebuild of the system (opsenSuSe 11.1) on a disk of double
capacity my system is running again very fine and with the import function of
kmail I could save nearly all mail. Only a few were reported to haven't been
imported/recovered.

At the moment I'm looking for a way to recover kmails addressbook. However I
haven't been successfull. Maybe you can give me a hint or send me a link to an
explanatory url (the old disk is complete readable). Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Daniel Jaime

[Bug 207323] New: kmail does not respect sent-mail folder and keeps replies in folder instead it stores alls sent mail to local

2009-09-14 Thread michael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207323

Summary: kmail does not respect sent-mail folder and keeps
replies in folder instead it stores alls sent mail to
local
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: mich...@karbach.org

Version:(using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from:SuSE RPMs

I use three dimap accounts, one of them is my main working account with the
main inbox. I would like to store all my emails in my main inbox, as well I
want to store also the sent emails in the very same folder as well as all
replies of emails from the main inbox.

Unfortunately kmail ignores all those settings and instead it stores all sent
email, regardless whether it is a reply or a new sent email always in the local
inbox. Of course I have marked that all Emails should be kept in folder. I have
tried many many settings in all of the options which are possible to set, but
with no success.

Best regard,

 Michael

[Bug 207339] New: drag-and-drop attachment to file manager doesn't save it

2009-09-14 Thread Jonathan Marten
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207339

Summary: drag-and-drop attachment to file manager doesn't save
it
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: messageviewer
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: j...@keelhaul.me.uk

Version: KMail
Version 1.12.90
Using KDE 4.3.68 (KDE 4.3.68 (KDE 4.4 = 20090907)) (using Devel)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

Dragging and dropping an attachment from the message preview or a message
viewer window, to a Dolphin or Konqueror file manager window, doesn't save the
attachment as would be expected. The only drop option presented is Link Here
(along with Cancel), selecting this options creates a file named something
like attachment:3?place=body.desktop with the contents:

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=unknown
Name=attachment:3?place=body
Type=Link
URL[$e]=attachment:3?place=body

The message

konqueror(12842)/libkonq KonqOperations::doDrop: URL:
KUrl(attachment:5?place=body)

is printed on stderr.

Dragging the attachment from the message structure viewer correctly saves the
attachment, the Copy Here drop operation is shown as would be expected. The
corresponding stderr message is

konqueror(12842)/libkonq KonqOperations::doDrop: URL:
KUrl(file:///tmp/kde-jjm4/kmailu13052.6/leo.JPG)

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207339

--- Comment #1 from Thomas McGuire mcguire kde org 2009-09-14 12:54:41 ---
Have you tried with the latest trunk version?
I thought I had fixed this bug with commit 1021518.

What I was doing when the application crashed:
It seems a duplicate of 206024, I just create a new message and KMail crashes
when I'm waiting for the LDAP to reply and add the new recipient. Fully
reproducible.

[Bug 207366] New: Links get wrapped and broken while quoting a post or while creating new post

2009-09-14 Thread Tony Manco
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=207366

Summary: Links get wrapped and broken while quoting a post or
while creating new post
   Product: knode
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: trma...@gmx.com

Version: 4.3.1 (using KDE 4.3.1)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

I'm using Knode's default wrap settings.

How to Reproduce:

-Quote a message with some links and post it, the links don't get correctly
wrapped, are broken and the quote/message gets garbled.
-Start a new message, paste some links and post it, the links are also not
correctly wrapped and are also broken

Expected Behaviour:

Knode should detect the links and disable wrapping on that line and by doing
this the links that get posted in the message/quote display fine.

can you check please whether all three contacts have a formatted name
set at all, please?
If you have stored them in a vCard file, there should be lines starting
with 'FN:' on the Kolab server the XML attachment has an element 'name'
with the attribute 'full-name'.

Ciao,
Tobias

With kmails addressbook I think you mean the global addressbook in KDE, used
with e.g. kaddressbook.
The files KDE uses are simple text files (one or many, depending on the way
yoou set up your resources). A single file resource can be e.g.
/home/koller/.kde4/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf

To recover, simply use the old file as a file resource.

After upgrading Kmail to 4:4.3.1-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2 (Kubuntu Jaunty) I can't
open attachment (an error file or folder file:// doesn't exit appears).

This is a hyper critical issue IMHO.
