[Bug 208975] defined signature is not saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208975 --- Comment #2 from Roman Schulz rschulz centrum cz 2009-10-02 08:59:29 --- I tested 'Identities' configuration more in depth and found following problem: I have identity named 'identity1' and it is set as default. Then I created second identity 'identity2', set it as default, and closed kmail. After starting kmail again, identity1 is not present!!! Is it happening to someone else? I thing there is some problem when saving identities configuration. I am using kmail in standalone mode, and problem with signatures occur for all identities. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

If you're interested in helping with bug triaging and/or reopening the kaddressbook wishes that still apply, I can you give the bugzilla permissions for doing so. The deal is: no more ranting, though :) I used to report most of the crashes and thought that it would make difference, but whatta hell, now I've more time to something else. We always (try to) fix crashes, I don't see what the closing of old kaddressbok bugs has to do with that. The old bugs don't apply anymore, and the old wishes were closed by mistake, I agree. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 209187] New: Composer: Focus jumps in auto-completion drilldown when matching results from LDAP search are added later
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209187 Summary: Composer: Focus jumps in auto-completion drilldown when matching results from LDAP search are added later Product: kmail Version: 1.12.2 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: rkr...@gmx.net Version: 1.12.2 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) release 168, KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_Factory) Compiler: gcc OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-10-desktop In composer, when I type addresses in the To:/CC:/Bcc: edit fields by typing the first letters of an address quickly and the drilldown with auto-completed addresses opens, the currently marked address from the auto-completion changes when additional matching results from an LDAP search come in. If I mark an entry and don't press enter to choose it before the LDAP matches come in occasionally, that entry is shift one or more positions towards the end, while the marking changes too (which is bad). For instance, assume typing ab in the To: field gives me three addresses in the offered dropdown: - a...@domain.com - a...@domain.com chosen mark - a...@domain.com I choose the second one, a...@domain.com with the up/down keys. While that, additional entries are searched in background from LDAP. Now, assume there is an additional matching entry from the LDAP search: - a...@domain.com which is inserted at the beginning of the drilldown box. Thus, the drilldown list is now: - a...@domain.com - a...@domain.com new mark - a...@domain.com - a...@domain.com Currently, the original marking of a...@domain.com gets lost and the new second entry, a...@domain.com, is marked instead, which is confusing. I would expect the entry I marked already to stay marked in that case, and the mark is shifted together with the entry. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

There are probably more than 1000 directories. So after a long while holding down the [Enter] key to click through all the OK buttons in the almost endless storm of error messages, the error message text chages to: 'Cannot open file ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/imap/.286385175.directory/.XXX.directory/YYY: Too many open files' And sometimes in between there is a shorter error message dialog saying: 'Error while creating file XXX: Too many open files' Looking inside /proc/pid of kmail/fd/, there are indeed 1000 open file-descriptors. Apparently this is the pre-configured maximum on my system, but anyway, kmail should NEVER keep all those files open in the first place. I cannot use KMail like this, and in fact I never made it through all the error messages, to see what happens then. Every time I restart KMail, and repeating the procedure, the directories previously created are removed again, and the pain starts over! Could this be a race-condition between two threads? Additional information: The home directory (~) is on an NFS mounted drive, and this has been working fine for years throughout the KDE-3.x series. Before running KDE4 for the first time, I removed my .kde directory just in case. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 209232] New: Crash when saving contact
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209232 Summary: Crash when saving contact Product: kaddressbook Version: unspecified Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: k...@niceperson.org CC: to...@kde.org Application that crashed: kaddressbook Version of the application: 4.3 KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) Qt Version: 4.5.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-1-686 i686 What I was doing when the application crashed: I was playing around with watched nicks in Konversation and clicked Add association for a watched nick. I then tried to Edit contact but could not because kaddressbook was not installed. I installed kaddressbook, then attempted Edit contact again. This opened kaddressbook -- two windows, a main window and a contact-editing menu. I closed the main window by clicking on the X in the corner, then changed the name for my contact. I clicked through the rest of the tabs, then clicked OK (or Save or whatever the button is called, I don't remember now). That is when the crash happened. I have not attempted to reproduce the crash. -- Backtrace: Application: KAddressBook (kaddressbook), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 0xb60df4fb in KABC::AddressBook::findByUid (this=0x8c2f750, uid=...) at ../../kabc/addressbook.cpp:617 #7 0xb7f79518 in KABCore::contactModified(KABC::Addressee const) () from /usr/lib/libkaddressbookprivate.so.4 #8 0xb7f8380d in KABCore::qt_metacall(QMetaObject::Call, int, void**) () from /usr/lib/libkaddressbookprivate.so.4 #9 0xb6d19b33 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8b45f40, from_signal_index=73, to_signal_index=73, argv=0xbfa86e2c) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3112 #10 0xb6d1a782 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x8b45f40, m=0xb7fd7d68, local_signal_index=0, argv=0xbfa86e2c) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3186 #11 0xb7f4c613 in ?? https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209123 Sabine Faure sab...@kdab.net changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|REOPENED Resolution|INVALID | --- Comment #2 from Sabine Faure sabine kdab net 2009-10-02 22:43:48 --- Just to make sure you understood my point of view, I was thinking about an editable combo box for the 'Display' feature when selecting 'Custom' and about a read only combo box otherwise showing the other options. So that it's obvious for the user that he can select a different option or type a custom name in as well. I am confused now. Why not set the 'full name' radio button as default to always have a Display name? You seem to agree that there is a bug with the fact that the display name is not used when printing, right? So I am retitling this bug accordingly so that this issue gets fixed.
