[Bug 160990] Page up/down scrolls message content pane too far when there are attachments

2009-10-07 Thread Patrick
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160990

--- Comment #9 from Patrick 2009-10-08 00:26:04 ---
Despite this bug being mentioned as fixed in the Changelog
(http://www.kde.org/announcements/changelogs/changelog4_3_1to4_3_2.php), it
doesn't seem to be fixed for me.

The *preview pane* still scrolls 100%, not 80%, which makes the great 'press
space bar often to read all your new mails' feature less useful.

K*UniqueAppHandler::newInstance depends on the Kontact module that's supposed
to be displayed when Kontact starts.

bug 194268 is the "collect them all" report :-)

Seems like the same crash occured today.
Maybe it's not related but my Akregator seems to have trouble with some feeds
and displays the same entry multiple times (although I have to download them

[Bug 209781] New: Kmail does not handle suspend/resume cycles

2009-10-07 Thread Freddie Witherden
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209781

Summary: Kmail does not handle suspend/resume cycles
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: fred...@witherden.org

Version:(using KDE 4.3.1)
Installed from:Debian testing/unstable Packages

Upon suspending a system (I've tried a Debian laptop and a Gentoo desktop
system) Kmail does not take the opportunity to close up any outstanding
connections.

When the system is later resumed Kmail becomes dead in the water -- no network
operations like checking/fetching mail work. It takes around 5 minutes for
Kmail to realize the connection has timed out.

Exiting and opening Kmail up again fixes the problem.

Kmail should either respond appropriately to suspend/resume events or be more
aggressive when it comes to reinstating lost network connections.

[Bug 209767] New: please add "View source" to the mails' context menu in the mail list

2009-10-07 Thread Janet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209767

Summary: please add "View source" to the mails' context menu in
the mail list
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.1
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bugzi...@kerridis.de

Version: 1.12.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-1.slh.7-sidux-686

Can you please add "View source" to the mails' context menu in the mail list
too? By now this context menu item is only available when I click on the mail
in the mail viewer and it really is a bit nasty to always have to change
position/"mousetravel" to view the source of the mails in the list: click in
mail list for next mail, wander down to viewer, click, wander up to list, click
etc.

And somehow it's hard for me to remember that it's only available in the mail
viewer context menu, after some time of non-usage I always search for it in the
mail list context menu first...

IMHO this menu item should be availabe in both context menus: mail viewer and
mail list.

Excuse me, but how/where can I choose to use rtf or plain text as mail format
in the mail editor? Not that I want to change anything as it works perfectly
here, just curious. URLs pasted are always clickable links here after I have
saved/send the message. They are just not clickable when I'm in edition mode.

[Bug 209765] New: buttons/keys for next unread message/previous unread message don't cycle at end of list

2009-10-07 Thread Janet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209765

Summary: buttons/keys for next unread message/previous unread
message don't cycle at end of list
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.1
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bugzi...@kerridis.de

Version: 1.12.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-1.slh.7-sidux-686

Alas the buttons for jumping to the next/previous unread message in a folder
(and the keys +/-) don't cycle through the messages in this folder when
reaching the end of the list. It would be very helpful when the Next button
would jump to the beginning of the folder when there are unread messages before
the current one so I can browse through the rest of the unread mails forward.

In my case kmail jumps to the last read message when I look into a folder.
There can be new messages before and after that message. When I'm at the end of
the list and there are no further unread mails but one I can jump to it with
the Previous button (or minus). But when there are several unread messages
above the point from which I started I only can go through the mails backwards
when I use the Previous button until I reach the top. But what I want and had
expected is to go forward from the beginning of the list, always same direction
in a cycle.

I never used the Next/Previous feature before but now with the new group
sorting it seems like a good idea to me and I was very puzzled that the keys
don't cycle at the end of the list.

[Bug 188455] akregator executes flash regardless of plugin settings

2009-10-07 Thread dietz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=188455

Hi,

I can still reproduce this with 4.3.1. (akregator 1.5.1).
After a short look at the sources I think this could be
a khtmlpart bug, because from the source it looks as if
plugin execution is disabled from akregator's code:

see
http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdepim/akregator/src/articleviewer.cpp?view=markup
(line 100):  m_part->setPluginsEnabled(false);
