2009-10-28 Thread Andrew Nady
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212249

Summary: Kmail Crash due to failure to sync with IMAP (read
messages)
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: kisis...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-2-686-bigmem i686

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I have several MUA clients open and picling up IMAP messages.
 1. KMail from KDE 3.5
 2. IPhone IMAP
 3. KMail from KDE 4.3
All work fine except KMail in 4.3. Mail that has been read on Iphone or KMail
3.5
shows as unread in KMail 4.3. When trying to open these unread messages,
KMail 4.3 will crash.

--- Comment #7 from Sabine Faure 2009-10-29 00:09:27 ---
Hi Tobias,

Many different ones (Contacts and a sub folder, Contacts and Personal
Contacts...)

I retested this today, and it works so I am closing this bug.

It is now possible to copy an address book folder and paste it in another
address book. You can then see the copied folder with contacts and groups
inside within the selected address book.

Trunk, Svn Rev 1041831

[Bug 212245] New: Save Attachments calls wrong dialog box

2009-10-28 Thread Dennis Gallion
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212245

Summary: Save Attachments calls wrong dialog box
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.2
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: dwgall...@bellsouth.net

Version: 1.12.2 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 183",
KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.1)
Compiler: gcc
OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.27.29-0.1-default

When using "Save Attachments . . ." (i.e., multiple attachments, displaying a
directory tree) whether with right-click on a message in the list or from
within the message body when the message is opened, the "Save Attachment"
(single attachment, displaying a filename data entry line) dialog box
incorrectly opens instead.

The Save Attachments feature works correctly in Kmail 1.12.1 KDE 4.3.1/160 (my
wife's system). Tested with several identical emails on both hers and my
system.

[Bug 207078] Importing Contacts detail from a spreadsheet (.csv) does not import birthdays and anniversaries.

--- Comment #13 from Sabine Faure 2009-10-28 21:42:30 ---
The time format has been removed from the Date format line edit.

And if you use the following .csv file with the ISO norm for the dates it
nearly works:

The birthdays and anniversaries are imported for the first two contacts but
only the birthday is imported for the last one (Jerome Silence) for some
reason.
So I am reopening this bug.

[Bug 212230] New: Cursor stays in the Email column after erasing a contact from a group.

2009-10-28 Thread Sabine Faure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212230

Summary: Cursor stays in the Email column after erasing a
contact from a group.
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net
CC: to...@kde.org

Version:(using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

- Configure Akonadi with an IMAP and Kolab resource.
- Launch Kontact and go to KAB
- Create a new Contact
- Go to File menu/New/New Group...
- A 'New Contact Group' dialogue appears.
- Enter a group name in the 'Name:' field (Group A)
- Click in the Name column of the 'Contact group members' table.
- Type in a few letters from the contact's name. The autocompletion works and a
list of contact(s) appears. Select the contact that you have just created from
the list.
- Now click on the red minus sign to erase the contact from the group

It works, but the cursor remains in the 'Email' column forcing the user to
click into the Name column to enter a new contact's name.

I think it would be more efficient and would save time to have the cursor back
in the 'Name' column after erasing a contact.

[Bug 212226] New: Impossible to edit the last contact name when creating a new group.

2009-10-28 Thread Sabine Faure

- Enter a group name in the 'Name:' field(Group A)
- Click in the Name column of the 'Contact group members' table.
- Type in a few letters from the contact's name. The autocompletion works and a
list of contact(s) appears. Select the contact that you have just created from
the list.
- repeat until you have three contacts in the Group
- Now try to click on the name of the last contact from the 'Name' column.

For some reason it is impossible to edit it.

However, it is possible to click and edit the contact's names that are above
the last one.
Once this is done then it is possible again to click and edit the last one as
well.

[Bug 212225] New: The autocompletion in the 'New Contact Group' is case sensitive

2009-10-28 Thread Sabine Faure

Compiler: gcc 4.3.2
OS:Linux
Installed from:Compiled sources

- Configure Akonadi with an IMAP and Kolab resource.
- Launch Kontact and go to KAB
- Create a new Contact(ex:John Smith)
- Go to File menu/New/New Group...
- A 'New Contact Group' dialogue appears.
- Enter a group name in the 'Name:' field(Group A)
- Click in the Name column of the 'Contact group members' table.
- Type in a few letters from the contact's name( J o h). The autocompletion
works and a list of contact(s) appears.

Now try typing the same letters but not using the upper case (j o h n...).
Nothing happens, the name is not recognized and the autocompletion does not
work.

I think this could be a good idea to ignore the case in the autocompletion. By
experience after typing a lot of names it is common to forget the upper case
because its quicker not to press the Shift key.

It is corrected now.

Once the user select a name from the proposed list the preferred contact's
email appears. If there are several emails associated with the contact it is
possible to select a different one from the 'Email' combo box.

SVN commit 1041880 by tnyblom:

Change parseMailtoUrl() to return a QMap containing all fields.
This way we can support arbitrary fields in mailto urls.
This support needs further work as this commit only fixes this function, the
use of this new functionality is left for later.

Please note that my bug [Bug 212211] was marked a duplicate of this; however
the email that I was working with had only the one attachment; I didn't use the
keyboard to select anything; i wasn't looking to save the attached PDF. I just
clicked to launch kpdf and that is when Kontact crashed. This info may or may
not be useful.

[Bug 212200] New: Kontact crashed while searching

2009-10-28 Thread Pedro Pozuelo
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212200

   Summary: Kontact crashed while searching
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: aerisli...@gmail.com

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30-1-686 i686
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (squeeze)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
When I do generic searches in local scope, kontact usually crashed.
I guest It could be when kontact returns too many results.
I search through "Find Messages" -> "Search in all local folders" -> "March all
of the following".

I think my mailbox isn't too big anyway:

This problem also occurs in KNode. Is this some library bug then?

[Bug 212186] New: kmail crashes reproducible when I compress a folder.

2009-10-28 Thread Kai
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212186

Summary: kmail crashes reproducible when I compress a folder.
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: wa...@gmx.de

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.12.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 i686
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (squeeze)

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I am using kmail without KDE (windowmanager icewm). The folder seems to be
compressed after a restart of kmail. I that case the application doesn't crash.

I needed to put

require ["imap4flags"]

in my header. Validation happens at managesieve level, not kmail.

[Bug 212182] New: in kontact (email view): if a task is created from a mail, add the mail as attachment to the task

2009-10-28 Thread Patrick Winnertz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212182

Summary: in kontact (email view): if a task is created from a
mail, add the mail as attachment to the task
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.3
  Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: win...@debian.org

Version:(using KDE 4.3.2)
Installed from:Debian testing/unstable Packages

It would be nice to have the original mail within the task which is created via
the "New task..." Button in kontact (email view), as this makes it easier to
know after a while what this task is being about.

At the time of this writing, Debian has:
- kdepim 4.3.1-2 in squeeze (testing)
- kdepim 4.3.2-1 in sid (unstable)

The packages in squeeze are affected by the issue as they doesn't contain the
fixes. You should wait until kdepim 4.3.2-1 enters in squeeze.

If don't want to wait you can pick up the required packages (kdelibs5,
kdepimlibs5, etc...) directly from sid.

Of course, and that's the reason I suggested creating the gpg-agent config
file. However, since the reason for that file is unrelated to pinentry-qt it
seems strange that it is the only place I can think of where the instruction
exists. Since I've been using such a setup for years, using the same config
files in fact, I can't honestly remember how I originally got it to work. I do
remember times after a new install when I was asked for the passphrase for
every message, which suggests that agent is not necessary, though obviously
desirable.

Installing pinentry-qt or pinentry-qt4 is not enough if you don't tell gnupg to
use it.

http://userbase.kde.org/KMail/PGP_MIME#Issues for more informations. (It's not
up to KMail to configure gnupg, sorry)

The sieve UI is utterly lacking, while the internet filters UI is quite well
