[Bug 203576] Message composer mixes up signatures of different profiles

2009-10-31 Thread Andreas Pietzowski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=203576

--- Comment #3 from Andreas Pietzowski 2009-11-01
02:02:03 ---
No, my signature comes out of a shell script which always chooses a different
text out of shell script. I also strongly guess this is the problem. You are
maybe comparing the previous text and erase it at the end.

Can you reproduce it with some profiles with text defined below and one with a
shell script like

echo $RANDOM

Open composer and switch through profiles. Signatures get duplicated on and on.

Maybe a solution would be to check for the signature separator ("-- ") which
should be the beginning of every signature and cut off from the separator
downwards before inserting the new signature at the end. For the case the
signature has no such separator, use the implementation as before. Maybe you
have an even better solution?

It seems I could solve this issue here.
Kadressbook has had an Akonadi-Resource wich points to my Adressbookfile. As I
changed this at KDE-Resources in Systemsettings to "file-Resource" pointing to
the same file.

This had to effects:
- Kontact doesn't need 20minutes to start anymore,
- Kontact closes and starts without segfault

[Bug 212530] New: KMail crashes when filtering large numbers of email messages

2009-10-31 Thread mfb_kdebugs9
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212530

Summary: KMail crashes when filtering large numbers of email
messages
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: mfb_kdebu...@zwaresoftware.com

Application that crashed: kmail
Version of the application: 1.12.1
KDE Version: 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.30.8-64.fc11.i686.PAE i686
Distribution: "Fedora release 11 (Leonidas)"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
KMail has always been flaky for me when applying filters to large numbers of
messages. When I need to do so, I manually try to break the task up by
selecting less than 100 messages and then applying filters. After doing that
to about 1500 messages, I clicked on another message and this crash occurred.
While the filtering process completed without difficulty this time, since I
have always had problems with this, I suspect that filtering is the root of
this problem. I could be wrong, and this may be a duplicate report, but I've
done what I'm able to do to help.

Most of my filters involve looking for recipients or froms that contain
specific email addresses (that match my identities) and then moving messges to
specified folders.

There is a per-folder option for this:

Folder - Properties - General tab - Act on new/unread mail in this folder

Turning off this option for the spam/trash folder should ignore new mail in
them and not include it in the system tray count. If this does not appear to
work then please add any additional information to this bug report.

Example message which triggers bug

Here's an example message which causes the same problem with kmail 1.11.4 (KDE
4.2.4). It has two PNG images right in the middle of the message body, and the
message was generated by Apple Mail. When I reply to it kmail only quotes the
text up to the first PNG.

[Bug 212482] New: Make system tray icon ignore messages in spam folders

2009-10-31 Thread Mike Vaughn
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212482

Summary: Make system tray icon ignore messages in spam folders
   Product: kmail
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: contras...@gmail.com

Version:(using KDE 4.3.2)
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

It would make the system tray icon a lot more useful if it could be configured
to only show a message count for folders in a user-selected set of folders. For
example, I have three GMail accounts set up on KMail, two of which get a new
spam message on almost every check. I'd like to be able to tell KMail to only
show the message count for my actual inbox folders on the system tray icon,
while disregarding the messages in the spam and trash folders. This would
probably best be implemented via a checkbox-based listview under Settings ->
Configure KMail -> Appearance -> System Tray, where the user could select which
folders' messages should be counted in the system tray icon.
