[Bug 222170] New: kmail freezes when displaying mails where my address is in the "from" header
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=222170 Summary: kmail freezes when displaying mails where my address is in the "from" header Product: kmail Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: sm...@gmx.de Version: 1.13.0 (KDE SC 4.4rc1) (using Devel) Compiler: gcc 4.4.2 (Gentoo 4.4.2 p1.0) Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS:Linux Installed from:Compiled sources I do not know if this bug relates to kmail, akonadi or nepomuk - since it is triggered from and freezes kmail, I filed it under kmail. When clicking on a mail which has one of my mail addresses in the from header, kmail (at least parts of it) freeze and nepomuk runs amok. This is a regression from KDE SC 4.3.4, kmail was working as expected before. It was even worse with 4.4beta2 though. Reproducible: always Steps to reproduce: - click on a mail that has one of your mail addresses in the from header (e.g. in the draft folder, sent-mail folder or in a folder containing a mailing list) - stare at kmail or htop or something else ;) What happens: - the kmail (or kontact) window does not react to mouse and keyboard input anymore (for a while at least), mails are still collected and filtered, the unread count for folders still updated (the windowmanager-parts of the window also respond) - nepomuk runs amok (requesting more memory fast (about 9MB per second, rising to 500MB if not killed), using about 60-70% of a phenomII-940 core while doing so) - with kde sc 4.4beta2 kmail / kontact had to be killed & restarted in order to be used again, now it usually responds again after a while what should happen: -kmail displays the mail instantly -kmail ui does not freeze -nepomuk does not increase memory usage and cpu utilization used software: qt: 4.6.0 kde sc: 4.4rc1 (with 4.4beta2 it was even worse) os: gentoo linux (~amd64) unaffected: kde sc 4.3.4 (with same version of qt) If there is more information / testing that I can provide, please let me know. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=222143 Summary: pop3 emails are downloaded and shown multiple times when leaving mail on server Product: kmail Version: 1.13.0 Platform: unspecified OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: arne_...@web.de Version: 1.13.0 (using 4.3.90 (KDE 4.3.90 (KDE 4.4 RC1)), Gentoo) Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc OS:Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31-gentoo-r6 I had my mail account set to delete mails only one day after fetching them. I then received every mail multiple times. The problem first appeared when I used kmail under high load (dbus compiled with debug flags really kills off kmail performance for me) even though I then set the mails to be deleted upon retrieval. It isn't nice for usability, because the mails are also shown multiple times, so the list gets cluttered with multiple copies of the same mail(s). [Bug 222054] New: next unread jumps to folder marked as "not act on new/unread"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=222054 Summary: next unread jumps to folder marked as "not act on new/unread" Product: kmail Version: 1.13.0 Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: fr...@fthieme.net Version: 1.13.0 (using Devel) OS:Linux Installed from:Compiled sources I use KDE SC 4.4 RC1, but it happened in beta2, too. In 4.3.4 it acted normal. Packages are KDEmod-testing for Archlinux. When I press "+" for next unread message, kmail jumps to my Junk folder, presenting me new messages. But I have unmarked the "act on new/unread messages" for this folder. So it shouldn jump in that folder at all. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
