[Bug 231620] New: kaddressbook cannot show members of more than one addressbook at the same time

2010-03-22 Thread Roman Fietze
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231620

Summary: kaddressbook cannot show members of more than one
addressbook at the same time
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: r...@fietze-home.de
CC: to...@kde.org

Version:(using KDE 4.4.1)
Installed from:openSUSE RPMs

In the Address Books window I cannot select more than one address book at the
same time. This makes it a little cumbersome to find people when I do not know
exactly where they are.

Example: at work we have LDAP, but those entries only contain a minimum of
information like name, mail and phone number. For most colleagues a also have
an extra entry containing extra fields like mobile, home address, home email,
etc. With the current setup I constantly have to switch address books when
searching for information.

If we wanna make KDE work, in at this moment MS dominant enterprises, support
for mapi is a must. Lacking mapi support id the biggest inhibitor for large
enterprise moves to opensource desktop at the moment.

i think this is a mdv issue please do :

 - install mysql-core

 - remove old akonadi config stuff with the command:
 mv ~/.local/share/akonadi/ mv ~/.local/share/akonadi-old/

 restart KDE

[Bug 231820] New: Please change kaddressbook sort order to natural sort

2010-03-22 Thread Robert Smits
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231820

Summary: Please change kaddressbook sort order to natural sort
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: b...@rsmits.ca
CC: to...@kde.org

Version:(using KDE 4.3.5)
OS:Linux
Installed from:openSUSE RPMs

Kaddressbook does not use natural sorting when displaying names.
Consequently, names with numbers as part of the name, for example, COPE 2000,
will come sooner in a list of names than COPE 606.

Since many names and organizations have numbers as part of the name, please
change the sort order to natural sorting so that names come in the correct
order.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=226282

--- Comment #5 from Tim McKenzie tjm1983 gmail com 2010-03-22 22:06:23 ---
Created an attachment (id=42190)

New crash information added by DrKonqi

I booted my computer, logged in, and started Kontact. A message came up saying
Kontact may already be running, and offered to either exit or start anyway. I
chose to exit, and then it crashed like this.

--- Comment #1 from Sebastien Renard sebastien renard digitalfox homeip net

I omit to add that the KOrganizer resource was a remote (http) ical calendar. I
don't know if this is relevant to understand the bug.
