Summary: email shown as sent with attachment even if the

   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.2
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bali...@gmail.com

Version: 1.13.2 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.31-20-generic

If an email message is created , and a file attached and message saved as draft
... then reopened, attachment removed and sent ... the message shows in the
messages list with the attachment sign (clip sign).

Clip sign should not be shown as the message was not sent with attachment.

The same happens, when a mail server returns a message because of invalid
attachment. As for example gmail returns mail with exe file attached. The
message stays in outbox... if it is opened , attachment removed and sent, the
clip sign is there too.

have a nice day, bq

Kontact crashes when trying to access preferences. It is probably due to me
having unselected kmail as one of the kontact components

[Bug 234981] New: No Filter buttons displayed in tool bar

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=234981

Summary: No Filter buttons displayed in tool bar
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.12.4
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: r...@skolelinux.de

Version: 1.12.4 (using 4.3.4 (KDE 4.3.4), Debian packages)
Compiler: cc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-2.slh.6-sidux-686

In the filter dialogue, I defined an icon for mark as spam and enabled
display in tool bar. Then I configured my tool bar, adding the corresponding
filter action.

The icon + action is displayed in the customize tool bar dialogue (on both
sides), but the toolbar itself does not display the icon (or a text button) for
this filter action.

For every mailing list, I have a corresponding filter to move messages to the
correct filter.

Now I want to re-order filters that do not apply for mailing lists to be
executed first, and then I draw in a stopper for non-mailing-list-postings.

Well, anyway, it would be cool if I could move up the bunch of non-ml filters
up to the top in a row rather than having to click (up) a hundred times for
every single filter

[Bug 234985] New: Akonadi self-test often failing when starting Kontact

OS/Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Version:(using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

I am using KDE 4.4.2 in Kubuntu 10.04 (beta). Often when I start Kontact
(approximately every 2nd time), a window pops up saying that the Akonadi
self-test failed. The address book is unavailable in that case, showing the
same error again. I then quit Kontact and start it again, which fixes the
address book. However, it's not really a solution to always start Kontact
twice, so I wonder what the cause of the problem is.
I pasted the self-test log at http://pastebin.com/SNK8wmUM

Hi there, I can confirm that filtering 1500 messages (all in the same folder)
is a big problem, because it lasts abt. 1 hour (during this time kmail is not
responsive/usable).

I must concede that I have some dozens of filters (by mailing list) and that I
selected use all filters CTRL+J) because I wanted to apply the original filter
chain for incoming mail.

However I am not sure if as opposed to the original chain, CTRL+J doesn't stop
on hitting filters?

Application that crashed: akonadi_gcal_resource
Version of the application: 0.1
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was removing one duplicated google calendar resource and the crash was
presented to me. However, Kontact was still running after Dr. Konki appears
with the backtrace. I downloaded the dbg packges to show a 3 stars backtrace,
reported this bug and after that I'm using the same Kontact process that caused
the bug without any problem.

Hej,

please execute the application 'kaddressbookmigrator' on the command line and
then
add a 'Personal Contacts' address book inside KAddressBook by right clicking on
the
left pane and choose 'Add Address Book...' from the menu.

Ciao,
Tobias

Hej,

you have to add a write-able address book first before you can import contacts.
Do this by right click on the left pane of kaddressbook and choose 'Add Address
Book'.
Choose 'Personal Contacts' there.
