--- Comment #14 from Bruce Cran 2010-04-25 03:28:36 ---
I've seen regular crashes when closing KMail as an IMAP operation is going on
with KDE 4.4.1. gdb ends up crashing though so I've not got a backtrace yet.

[Bug 235308] New: Kmail "Crash" on responding to a Mail

2010-04-24 Thread Roger Pixley
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235308

Summary: Kmail "Crash" on responding to a Mail
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: skree...@hotmail.com

Application: kmail (1.13.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

-- Information about the crash:
I recieved a mail (over IMAP) and responded to it by hitting 'a' to reply to
all. Wrote my response and pressed Ctrl+Enter. The Application didn't respond
at all (I thought) so I pressed the key combination again and then waited. The
Compose message window greyed out and then the password dialog popped up to ask
me for my password since I don't have my password saved so that will ask me
every time. I entered my password (I would assume correctly) and pressed enter
and the password dialog dissappeared followed by the compose window then by the
main window.
The KDE bug report assistant came up and asked if I would like to restart the
Application or report the bug. I clicked on restart application and then report
bug. A dialog box came up informing me that Kmail was already in session and I
should not start it unless I was sure it was the only instance. I opened a
process stats window and saw kmail running. I ran a kquitapp kwin and then
proceeded to fill out this report.

[Bug 235279] kmail marked all my emails as unread

2010-04-24 Thread George-Lucian Marinescu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235279

2010-04-24 17:31:37 ---
Correction: only 300-something out of 500-something were marked as unread.
The rest were probably omitted due to one of the many crashes of KMail.

Version:(using KDE 4.4.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

I added my GMail account to KMail (IMAP), checked to see if I can send/receive
messages and deleted a couple of them.

All the emails from the folders I had subscribed to has now been marked as
unread, according to the webmail interface, but not according to KMail (it
properly shows which used to be read and which used to be unread, even after
restart & recheck)

--- Comment #1 from Joachim Mairböck 2010-04-24
10:09:56 ---
Please move this bug to the product KMail as I doubt it has something to do
with Kontact.

[Bug 235242] New: kmail crash when deleting mail over imap (moving to trash) and mailbox nearly full

2010-04-24 Thread Joachim Mairböck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235242

Summary: kmail crash when deleting mail over imap (moving to
trash) and mailbox nearly full
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.2
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: j.mairbo...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (4.4.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) "release 244"
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-pae i686
Distribution (Platform): openSUSE RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
KMail displayed some error message that it couldn't copy the mail, probably
because the maximum size of the mailbox was reached. I wanted to delete my mail
(after making backup elsewhere) as I got a reminder from Microsoft Exchange
that my mailbox was nearly full. After pressing "Continue" on the error
message, KMail crashed.
