[Bug 77862] kio_imap processes hang when connection status changes
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77862 Jesse changed: What|Removed |Added CC||kde-b...@web19.eml.cc --- Comment #66 from Jesse 2010-06-01 08:21:25 --- Has everyone who is still having this problem (Frank, Thorsten, Mirza, Juha, ...) tried setting up KMail with the Cached IMAP account type? Or is that not a good option for some reason? I found that switching to the Cached IMAP account type solved this problem for me, and I suspect this is a pretty good workaround for most people. I'm afraid I don't have KMail in front of me at the moment, but the process is something like this: create a new email account, and for the type select "cached IMAP". To the KDE developers: maybe a solution to this bug would simply be to hide the old, non-cached IMAP account type, and steer people to cached IMAP instead. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 185839] Kmail spelling check does not work
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185839 Thomas Meixner changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tom.meix...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Thomas Meixner 2010-05-31 22:01:25 --- For me inline spell checking is not working (Kmail 1.13.3 on KDE 4.4.3, Archlinux 64bit). With Auto Spell Check enabled in the Composer Window (Rightclick anywhere in the message) misspelled words are NOT indicated with a red underline. In the Background Kmail recognizes that a word is misspelled because right clicking on the work offers you a list of corrections. Spell checking generally works if initiated from the Menu although I had to install the aspell-en dictionary which per default was present in the list of available dictionaries but not working. It then walks you through a spell check in a popup window which is less than optimal since the background window gets darkened (KWin) which makes things hard to read. >Please check that you have aspell (and the languages you want) installed in a >right way, and that kdelibs use it. Inline spell checking generally is working in Kate with red underlines but not in KMail so atm I assume the problem is with Composer This bug report is old - Should I open another one maybe with screenshots and some more information? It would be really great to get this fixed - especially if you have to write in several languages a spell checker is indispensable for professional emails. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

It is very possible that gpg/gpg-agent is misconfigured on your machine, as i've been having some trouble getting it to work for me too. Can you do the following test to see if it works? 1) Send an encrypted or signed mail to yourself, from a working kmail or some other email client. 2) Copy the part of the email from -BEGIN PGP MESSAGE- to -END PGP MESSAGE- (including both those lines). 3) in a terminal, type "gpg --decrypt" 4) paste the text you copied 5) press control-D. 6) it should either ask you for your passphrase, or pop up a dialog box asking for your passphrase, or spit out some errors. either fill in the passphrase, and then press control-D (if there are no errors), or paste here the error you see. thanks! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
