https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=241386 --- Comment #2 from J Appel 2010-06-11 15:17:48 --- Hola Tobias, thank you for the reply. I am aware of the manual way to look for duplicates. Imagine huge amount of address, like importing 400 new addresses at one time as a seperate addressbook. Life is hard for John if he would need to type all 400 addresses to look for duplicates. Also, as time went by, John may already have duplicates in his data set. He would need to go through every single email address to find them. Considering that the data is now stored in a database, I hoped that this feature would be easy enough to implent. Please consider reopening the wish in case you think someone might take care. [Bug 241447] New: Nepomuk search service not registered at D-Bus on startup
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=241447 Summary: Nepomuk search service not registered at D-Bus on startup Product: kontact Version: 4.4.3 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: futil...@romandie.com Created an attachment (id=47909) --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=47909) Akonadi error report Version: 4.4.3 (using KDE 4.4.3) OS:Linux Always the same problems with Akonadi, with: - lucid fresh install (either 32 or 64bits); - new user home The problem is always the same: when kontact opens, it complains about akonadi not working. If I manually stop and start akonadi, kontact works fine. The problem affect in reality not kmail but the addressbook. Bug also present in karmic, and in jaunty, and... I know devs'job isn't easy. But how to explain a windows user that in an LTS fresh install of Kubuntu, you can't expect that you have a functionning mail software ? ... Previously, I simply removed akonadi from my system. With recent KDE versions, you simply can't get kontact working if akonadi is not present (and it doesn't work properly with akonadi present either...). I can add other akonadi error reports if necessary. I already reported this bug on launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/592570) and was asked to report the bug here. Regards Olivier Subilia Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open kontact Actual Results: Error message; adressbook not usable. Expected Results: No error message and adressbook usable, of course... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 169048] Crashes when applying all filters on IMAP folder [KMail::ActionScheduler::actionMessage, KMail::ActionScheduler::filterMessage]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=169048 Siu Chung (Clement) Cheung changed: What|Removed |Added CC||clement...@gmail.com --- Comment #25 from Siu Chung (Clement) Cheung 2010-06-11 23:32:32 --- Hi, This crash is due to you all having a rule with no actions but having "stop processing here" to make certain emails immune to subsequent rules. (see Michal's filter #1) Kmail currently chokes on that. I have already debugged this crash and attached a fix in bug 169646. Please see comments and attachment there for full explanation of this crash. I notice now that the bug is already closed when I posted due to lack of feedback, which is probably why nobody noticed my patch. Sorry about that. Should have searched more. Can someone try my patch and see if it works for you and maybe have someone from the kmail team take a look? There have been so many reports of this bug already. The crash is fully reproducible. But you must have *NEW* email matching the no action rule to trigger this crash. So if you rerun kmail immediately after the crash, it no longer happens due to the mail being no longer new. This is probably why people are saying the crash is "random". To reproduce the bug consistently, simply make a no action rule matching your own email address and send an email to yourself. As a workaround, add a sound action to your empty rule. If you find the barrage of sound annoying, simply record one second of silence and use that as your "sound". -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
