[Bug 242646] deleting contacts don't removes them from groups
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242646 Tobias Koenig to...@kde.org changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution||WONTFIX --- Comment #1 from Tobias Koenig tokoe kde org 2010-06-24 08:47:16 --- Hej, adding this functionality would introduce a major performance issue. Deleting a contact would result in querying all contact groups from a system (which might be thousands or more for big companies) and checking whether the deleted contact is part of it. Now imagine what happens if you try to remove 300 contacts in one go... [Bug 232827] kmail deletes previous configuration each time it updates
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232827 d...@mjt.ch changed: What|Removed |Added CC||d...@mjt.ch --- Comment #2 from dc mjt ch 2010-06-24 09:16:09 --- It happened on any release sinec ~1 year... Basically, all settings are reset. I have been experiencing this like twice a month in a year. Guess how upset I'm... What could make kmail decide that it needs a fresh config ? Why not asking the question before reseting everything ? Why not creating a backup if some settings are bizarre ? Also, a save config in a safe place would be more than welcome (for settings and kontacts). Add this problem to the akonadi/kontact problem and you'd realize that kmail is becoming so painful that it requires more than rage and passion to keep using it. After 10 years of kmail use, witnessing its quality going down everyday, I'm about to give up... I know how much work and effort you are putting in KDE/Kmail, but there are some basic standards which are not respected. I'd like to help you as much as you'd like but I don't know how I can do it... [Bug 242671] New: KMail trusts obviously broken 'references' headers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242671 Summary: KMail trusts obviously broken 'references' headers Product: kmail Version: 1.13.5 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: message list AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: bugs.kde@falkensweb.com Created an attachment (id=48282) -- (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=48282) Screen shot of a thread that should be joined, isn't Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS:Linux On some email lists I am on, KMail is unable to correctly thread messages no matter what I do. I think I’ve found the issue- the ’references’ headers are just a copy of the ’mesage-id’ header (i.e. this message is a reply to itself). It should be a list (maybe even of just one item) of parent message id’s. Example (partial header blocks from two messages, one is a reply to the other): Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2010 01:31:06 -0700 X-Mailer: Chilkat Software Inc (http://www.chilkatsoft.com) Message-ID: crid_ab1b5dc52bbd4515a734d960e8a2c...@zzz.com References: crid_ab1b5dc52bbd4515a734d960e8a2c...@zzz.com Resent-Message-ID: crid_ab1b5dc52bbd4515a734d960e8a2c...@zzz.com X-Priority: 3 From: David Hollr - General Discussions prfor...@zzz.com To: Tom Chiverton tom.chiver...@f.com Subject: RE: Open Type does not work with AS Files imported via SourcePath and Date: Tue, 22 Jun 2010 01:20:27 -0700 X-Mailer: Chilkat Software Inc (http://www.chilkatsoft.com) Message-ID: crid_a2f23f2e46334e32bc7c3765d4d16...@zzz.com References: crid_a2f23f2e46334e32bc7c3765d4d16...@zzz.com Resent-Message-ID: crid_a2f23f2e46334e32bc7c3765d4d16...@zzz.com X-Priority: 3 From: Radishna Bhat - General Discussions prfor...@zzz.com To: Tom Chiverton tom.chiver...@f.com Subject: RE: Open Type does not work with AS Files imported via SourcePath Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Join a mailing list that uses broken software (see x-mailer above). Filter those messages into their own folder Set the folder to use 'standard mailing list' aggregation. Actual Results: All messages in a thread (as denoted by Re: Foo in subject) show as single-item threads, no matter what view, message list, aggregation option is used. Expected Results: KMail should notice that the message refers only to itself, realise this must be broken, and fall back to aggregating by subject. Being able to deselect 'perfect' and/or 'by references' but keep 'by subject' in the customise message aggregation modes settings would do the job quickly and easily. I.e. make these three items check boxes, not a drop down. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 242056] Segmentation fault in KMail
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242056 --- Comment #2 from ricreig gmail com 2010-06-24 20:37:56 --- Created an attachment (id=48295) -- (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=48295) New crash information added by DrKonqi Since the original report, I did a CLEAN INSTALL of 11.3 rc1 (SuSE) and the symptom is the same. I then upgraded to KDE:factory 4.4 KMail and again the symptom is the same. The error appears to occur when polling the openSuSE mailing list off of Gmail after importing a few hundred messages. I also have other servers I subscribe to for other mail that (so far) have not exhibited this crash but I can't be sure as occasionally several threads are downloading at once when it crashes but I have attempted to disable polling of other servers and it seems it is coming from Gmail from which I only get openSuSE and related mailing lists. I do my best to not use it for personal mail and I do have their spam checker turned on so I normally see little or no junk mail coming in. A side effect of this is that I cannot read *any* mail and all mail is reloaded each time I restart the PIM OR KMail by itself. This problem did NOT exist prior to upgrading to RC1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 242737] New: Partially composed messages no long saved on exit.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=242737 Summary: Partially composed messages no long saved on exit. Product: kmail Version: 1.13.3 Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: composer AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: na...@anthracite.name Version: 1.13.3 OS:Linux I have lost several long emails when they are ready to be sent either because of an unexpected crash or if I needed to close Kontact deliberately for some reason. In the past these were waiting for me when I opened Kontact again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Reproduce this by composing and email and closing Kontact before sending it. Then reopen Kontact and it will be gone. Actual Results: 1. Compose and email but don't send it 2. close Kontact 3. open Kontact 4. email will be gone Expected Results: Save all emails that were being worked on or had been read but not closed like it used to do in the past. When I open Kontact, the list of emails in the list by the icon on the task bar should be the same as when I closed Kontact including messages being composed and messages I still want to answer.
