Some more information in my case. 1) Kontact also becomes unresponsive if I start with a different plugin and then switch to the summary plugin later. 2) For me it works, if I disable the new/unread mail summary. I was not sure since it was reported as fixed that anyone is looking at this again Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: After rebooting, open Kontact and go to the kaddress book. Contacts are not displayed and aconadki is said not to be running. Details are included in comment on bug 229213. Close Kontact and wait a bit and then reopen and it will be working. If I wait a long time before opening Kontact after rebooting, it does not make any difference. Actual Results: Kontact works for the most part after reopening. Expected Results: Kaddressbook contents should be visible the first time Kontact is opened.
