[Bug 245581] New: Imap account emails displayed as unread even when read.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245581 Summary: Imap account emails displayed as unread even when read. Product: KMail 2 Version: unspecified Platform: Compiled Sources OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: sab...@kdab.net Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS:Linux Read messages are displayed as unread next to the Imap account Inbox and folders whereas this should not be the case. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Prerequisite: having a working Imap account set up - Launch Kontact and go to Kmail - Check the number in between () next to the Imap account Inbox ex: Inbox (4) - Click on 'New Message' - Enter the recipient (Imap account email address), the subject and a few words. - Click on 'Send' - The recipient receives the email which is displayed in blue in the Message list view and the number next to the Imap account Inbox is now displaying one more email as it should ex: Inbox (5) - Click on the newly received email in the Message list view Actual Results: The newly received email is not displayed in blue anymore since it has been read however, the number remains the same ex: Inbox (5) Expected Results: whereas it should have been decreased by 1 ex: Inbox (4). So atm the number can only increase and eventhough emails are read they are still marked as unread. Moreover, when accessing the same Imap account from another computer using Kontact 4.4.1 this does not happen: the read messages are not shown as unread. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219572 Sabine Faure changed: What|Removed |Added Status|RESOLVED|UNCONFIRMED Resolution|FIXED | --- Comment #5 from Sabine Faure 2010-07-23 21:17:15 --- I retested this today and the wordwrap still does not seem to be set to 78 characters when the email is received. Steps to reproduce: - Launch Kontact and go to Kmail - Click on 'New Message' - Go to Option menu/Wordwrap and check box if not checked - Enter a recipient(yourself)and a subject - Type in a line of exactly 78 characters (ex: Testing wordwrap functionality using a line of exactly seventy eight caracters) - Reduce the Composer window size so that two lines of text are displayed instead of one (ex: the first line should end after 'Using') - Click on 'Send' - Open the received message The 78 characters are displayed on two different lines whereas it should not be the case. Moreover, the same thing happens if the sender types a line of 75 characters instead of 78 (ex: Testing wordwrap functionality using a line of exactly seventy eight chars.) Since this does not seem to be corrected so I am reopening this bug. You can list the GPG keys to be used by KMail when encrypting an email to that email address. Recently (not sure when), kmail does not honor those encryption settings any more. I generated addressbook entries for mailing list email addresses with the GPG keys of the recipients added in the encryption preferences. Now, when sending an email with encryption enabled to that email address, the standard window for requesting the selection of the recipient keys pops up instead of the use of the configured keys. No keys are pre-selected in the window for requesting the selection of recipient keys. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. add a new entry to the addressbook with, say, an unknown email address (e.g. f...@bar.com) 2. on the encryption page in the addressbook when editing the f...@bar.com entry, select some GPG recipient keys (use one or more of the ones you have in your local key list) 3. write an email to f...@bar.com and select that it should be GPG encrypted 4. hit send Actual Results: the window for requesting the key pops up Expected Results: KMail should have selected the keys you defined in the addressbook immediately this thing was working in the past -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

KDE asks to open my wallet which I did - afterwards KMail is (probably) fetching emails and soon after (it hasn't reported anything yet) Kontact crashes. Restarting works without crashing. The crash can be reproduced some of the time. -- Backtrace: Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 begin (this=0x86c58a8, msg=0x8c23f08, subjects=..., predicatesArray=..., valuesArray=...) at /usr/include/QtCore/qlist.h:93 #7 constBegin (this=0x86c58a8, msg=0x8c23f08, subjects=..., predicatesArray=..., valuesArray=...) at /usr/include/QtCore/qlist.h:250 #8 KMail::MailManagerImpl::processMsgBase (this=0x86c58a8, msg=0x8c23f08, subjects=..., predicatesArray=..., valuesArray=...) at /usr/src/debug/kdepim-4.4.4/kmail/mailmanagerimpl.cpp:86 #9 0xaf4fdfab in KMail::MailManagerImpl::Register (this=0x86c58a8, registrarPath=..., lastModseq=1279837716) at /usr/src/debug/kdepim-4.4.4/kmail/mailmanagerimpl.cpp:166 #10 0xaf5f7dc1 in ManagerAdaptor::Register (this=0x84ffd48, registrar_path=..., last_modseq=1279837716) at /usr/src/debug/kdepim-4.4.4/build/kmail/manageradaptor.cpp:39 #11 0xaf5f7e3e in ManagerAdaptor::qt_metacall (this=0x84ffd48, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=, _a=0xbf8b3e0c) at /usr/src/debug/kdepim-4.4.4/build/kmail/manageradaptor.moc:83 #12 0xb55d0a37 in QDBusConnectionPrivate::deliverCall (this=0x806d7f0, object=0x84ffd48, msg=..., metaTypes=..., slotIdx=0) at qdbusintegrator.cpp:904 #13 0xb55d2be7 in QDBusConnectionPrivate::activateCall (this=0x806d7f0, object=0x84ffd48, flags=273, msg=...) at qdbusintegrator.cpp:809 #14 0xb55d3378 in QDBusConnectionPrivate::activateObject (this=0x806d7f0, node=..., msg=..., pathStartPos=140377024) at qdbusintegrator.cpp:1383 #15 0xb55d3878 in QDBusActivateObjectEvent::placeMetaCall (this=0x88165d8) at qdbusintegrator.cpp:1477 #16 0xb6dec93f in QObject::event(QEvent*) () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #17 0xb632ec64 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x807d2f0, receiver=0x86c58a8, e=0x88165d8) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4302 #18 0xb6336bf7 in QApplication::notify (this=0xbf8b47b4, receiver=0x86c58a8, e=0x88165d8) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3706 #19 0xb72799d1 in KApplication::notify (this=0xbf8b47b4, receiver=0x86c58a8, event=0x88165d8) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.4.4/kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:302 #20 0xb6dd9e0e in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal(QObject*, QEvent*) () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #21 0xb6ddd9b4 in QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents(QObject*, int, QThreadData*) () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #22 0xb6dddb9c in QCoreApplication::sendPostedEvents(QObject*, int) () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #23 0xb6e0583d in ??
