--- Comment #193 from Oldřich Jedlička oldium pro seznam cz 2010-07-26
11:55:58 ---
(In reply to comment #191)
I get this no matter what I am doing. In my case I launch KMAIL then I begin
writing a new message and in variable within a minute everything freezes and I
am toast I can no longer do anything. I have left it for more than an hour
 and
 nothing.

KMAIL is useless for me now for more than two weeks!

I've got the same problem, but it is really unrelated to this thread. In my
case it was freezed akonadi and restarting it helped (kill it all and use
akonadictl to start it again).

I can confirm this bug not sure that it's a bug I need to look at kdelibs to
understand why we block it.

No it's not a bug.
Indent is for list and we can't indent as we want.

[Bug 245783] New: Kmail crashes - applying filters on IMAP account

2010-07-26 Thread ctvoigt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245783

Summary: Kmail crashes - applying filters on IMAP account
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: ctvo...@t-online.de

Application: kmail (1.13.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-23-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
-does not crash when filtering a single message
-crashes always when filtering lots of messages (more then 200)
-crashes sometimes when filtering multiple messages (~150)
-crashes 1 times of 10 (20 messages)

i did not check if there are evil messages; seams like filtering on
mailing-lists cases the problem

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

--- Comment #8 from Marc Cousin cousinmarc free fr 2010-07-26 22:00:48 ---
I have exactly the same problem on 4.4.95, only a bit worse : I don't have to
reduce the composer's windows to get the pyramid-shaped result from comment #7.

Word wrapping is unusable as it is.

Affects me as well, when I read a new email it is marked as read, but on the
next sync the status changes to unread. Using dIMAP and gmail service (does not
seem to happen with my university IMAP server).
