Having sw development experience myself, there is one aspect that shouldn't be forgotten, and that is the quality of the proposed solution. Care needs to be taken for this work to be made maintainable, extensible and portable. Unfortunately, one prevailing theme I noticed from all the development-oriented comments is that this feature is very hard to add due to KMail 1.x architecture. I'm afraid that if this work ends up providing HTML quote/compose support to KMail 1.x, it will not be easily applicable to 2.x. I suggest that an additional requirement be made to the bounty, something in the lines of: The implemented feature should be based on an externally maintained editor component, and provide documented interfaces for inclusion into other software. The documentation should also include a context diagram illustrating outside interfaces and internal class/component relations. Finally, at least one example (a simple step-by-step guide without actual implementation) on how to add new capabilities to the solution should be included. I feel this will guarantee that the work done now will be usable for years to come and easily extensible, while I'm also aware that it might considerably raise the valuation and give more headaches to Tim, or whomever else that decides to take up the bounty. Even if this final valuation ends up being twice or 3x the amount of the initial one, believe me it would not be unrealistic and would be worth it. To have it back again I have to right click on the toolbar - configure - change something and then apply. If I switch component and, for example, take a look at my agenda and then return to kmail, the toolbar has to be fixed again. Same thing happens when minimizing to tray. This bug does NOT happen when using kmail as a standalone app: it happens only when using it through kontact. When creating a New Contact, the More flap allows to specify honorific
prefixes and suffixes.
With these, there are multiple issues:
* weird autocompletion behavior (type abc, becomes ab=)
* white letters on grey background
* unique to this dialog. Resemble a button, but behave like an input field,
with a button to clear content.
* while the label (honorific prefixeS) suggest that multiple strings can be
defined, i only managed to put in one.

From 4.4 to 4.5, some code was moved to ServerManager (asynchroneous startup/shutdown), and while ServerManager works well, imho that event loop in Akonadi::Control is apparently unable to intercept stateChanged(State) from ServerManager in time or sth like this. Anyway all this handling looks way too complicated. Really Akonadi doesn't offer native synchroneous (blocking) method for server startup and it needs to be worked around with fake delays (timers) and event listeners? When I try to reopen Kontact, the Tip of the Day popup appears but it is completely unresponsive. Clicking anywhere in Kontact or TotD does nothing. When I go to close the TotD window, after a few seconds, KDE reports that TotD is not responding (no kidding) and recommends that I terminate the application Kontact, which gives me my computer back but keeps me safely out of Kontact. The whole system does not hang and rebooting does not fix the problem. This did not happen earlier today (or earlier period) when Kontact went directly into KMail, KOrganiser or Akregator or any other module, which is why I'm reporting it against Summary. I am still able to access the individual components of Kontact (which generate their own TotD) without problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.
