[Bug 256352] New: the use of "home" folder when saving or loading is confusing
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=256352 Summary: the use of "home" folder when saving or loading is confusing Product: kmail Version: 1.13.5 Platform: Unlisted Binaries OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: dav1dblunk...@hotmail.com Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.4) OS:Linux When saving or loading a file kde dialogs show >Home to refer to the users home folder. Most unix systems put the users' homes in /home/username. Hence ">home" is both confusing and annoying as it looks like it should refer to "/home/" rather than "/home/username/". Acceptable solutions would be "> Home folder" or ">home>username" but what is wrong with "/home/username"? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: In and kde 4.4 app save or load a file, the users' home directory appear as ">home" Actual Results: In and kde 4.4 app save or load a file, the users' home directory appear as ">home" Expected Results: The user's home should appear as "/home/username" or "~username" or anyone of the correct ways to refer to this path instead of the incorrect and confusing ">Home" OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35.4-12-desktop-matt Compiler: gcc -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 250138] kontact crashed when switching from small to large icons in the sidebar (list over on the left side)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250138 Wonko changed: What|Removed |Added CC||wo...@wonkology.org --- Comment #12 from Wonko 2010-11-08 10:42:58 --- I also have kontact crashing when selecting small icons. This is Gentoo Linux @ amd64, kontact 4.4.7, KDE 4.5.3, Qt 4.7.0-r1. I _think_ this worked in kontact 4.4.6 with KDE 4.5.2 and Qt 4.6.3, but I am not 100% sure. Workaround: I modified the icon size manually by changing the value for SidePaneIconSize from 48 to 32 in ~/.kde4/share/config/kontactrc. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
