Surely this is the same issue I reported in Bug 256975? If so, the resolution
is UPSTREAM; the issue has been reported on the Qt bug tracker here:

[Bug 268768] New: Unable to save a list of adress from an email

Summary: Unable to save a list of adress from an email
   Product: kaddressbook

  Platform: Mandriva RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR

Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.33.5-desktop-2mnb x86_64
Distribution: Mandriva Linux 2010.2

-- Information about the crash:
I tried to create a diffusion list from an old email. I modifiied the email,
and then choose to save the list of adresses as a new distribution list, called
Presse.

When I tried to use this new list, it was not recognised as existing. I open
the adressbook, and found items for some (most probably all) new addresses,
with only the email adresses. No diffusion list called Presse, but at the end
of list, a completely empty item (no icon, no name, nothing, but it's
selectable). If I double click on this one, which I suspected to be what's
remain from an incomplete creation for Presse, kadressbook and kmail krashed.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

[Bug 268783] New: Some quoted printable emails are not displayed correctly

2011-03-17 Thread Ralf Jung
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=268783

Summary: Some quoted printable emails are not displayed
correctly
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.5
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: ralfjun...@gmx.de

Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS:Linux

Recently, I am experiencing weird email display problems in KMail: The
displayed content starts with a part of the header, and the remaining text is
not properly decoded - in addition, the two parts of the email (text and HTML)
are both displayed on top of each other:

[quote begin]
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

[...]

Mit freundlichen Gr=FC=DFen
[...]
--_000_917DECA9F3B4254BA11A0BE2BC4DE8E67782B33A98RLSGDC1rlsgff_

Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

html xmlns:o=3Durn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office xmlns:w=3Durn:sc=

hemas-microsoft-com:office:word xmlns=3Dhttp://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40; =

xmlns:ns0=3Durn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags

head
[quote end]

Due to a somewhat weird email forwarding setup ;-) I also have the same emails
available in GMX web interface, and they look all right there, and I can
properly switch between HTML and Text version.

The email source code at the end of the header looks like this:

[quote begin]
X-KMail-EncryptionState: N
X-KMail-SignatureState: N
X-KMail-MDN-Sent:

--_000_917DECA9F3B4254BA11A0BE2BC4DE8E67782B33A98RLSGDC1rlsgff_

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
[quote end]
Maybe KMail has an issue with that stale line in the header that has no content
after the colon? On the other hand, other emails from the same sender work
fine, and they use exactly the same encoding - there just is no 2nd newline
after that weird random series of characters (and between the two lines of the
header).

Reproducible: Sometimes

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-27-generic
Compiler: cc

I am using the bogofilter spam filter, set up with KMail's spam filter
assistant, maybe that is related?
I temporarily disabled the filter and am now waiting for emails fro those
problematic senders.

[Bug 265589] GroupDAV resource crashes when selected in Akonadi Console

2011-03-17 Thread Ingo Ratsdorf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=265589

--- Comment #8 from Ingo Ratsdorf ingo envirology co nz 2011-03-17 23:50:56
---
Official news:
The groupdav resource only works with the latest version of KDE with a certain
serialiser installed that - as I understand - ships as part of the
kdepim-runtime lot.
If you just install this resource without all the rest - it will not work and
throw an exception.

I have now backported all calls of KCalCore back to KCal. And I can confirm the
resource is now working.

Apart from the fact that it is useless in KOranaiser and Kontact because you
cannot select the resource when adding events. I figured out that you can only
select Akonadi resources, but no folders so to speak, which the groupdav
resource represents - a folder with todos, tasks and addressbooks within it.
Does that maybe needs a new Korganiser and Kontact as well?

If the incidence's status field is set to something other than NONE, it will be
written out in ICalFormatImpl::writeIncidence(). So I don't think we need to
muck around in KCalCore.

We need to go into KOrganizer and set a to-do's status value as COMPLETED vs
NEEDS-ACTION as necessary. Now, on reading a to-do .. I expect to see a
completion percentage and will only agree to setting a to-do as DONE if that
percentage is 100; i.e. the status won't affect completeness on read.

I'm ok with doing this. However I don't agree with Horde: they could check for
100% completion too -- this must be how everyone checks for to-do completeness
else how come nobody else has bitched about this for so many years?
