[Bug 269200] New: Unexpected response to XOVER command

2011-03-22 Thread Andy Lavarre
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269200

Summary: Unexpected response to XOVER command
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.10
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: news
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: alava...@gmail.com

Version: 4.4.10 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS:Linux

This occurs when trying to access a newsgroup on the Kontact Usenet module.

It DID NOT OCCUR until after I upgraded from openSUSE 11.3 to openSUSE 11.4 via
zypper dup.

I have deleted the accounts and resubscribed, deleted and reinstalled the
entire application, the problem remains.

Kind regards, Andy
alava...@gmail.com

Reproducible: Didn't try

[Bug 185544] Kontact is sometimes started twice and crashes when closing the 2nd instance

2011-03-22 Thread Jerry Amundson

--- Comment #132 from Jerry Amundson 2011-03-23 00:47:02
---
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but for me this only happens if, and only
if, there is a network available during login - wired, favourite wireless, etc.
If I have no network available, my desktop starts with simply a kontact window,
and I briefly see a Korganizer daemon.

Recent backport akonadi-server update does not solve this. Now the error is

Thanks for the feedback.

It's a bit surprising that only Arch and Kubuntu users see this error but it's
now fixed according to comments #30 and #26.

For kubuntu users, you may open a bug report on launchpad to be sure this
commit will be in their next release.

One more thing: disabling 'Check mail on startup' for the email accounts seems
to alleviate the problem.

I can also confirm this bug: OpenSUSE 11.3 (x64). Bug appeared with KDE SC
4.6.1 (from OpenSUSE repositories).

Having KWallet triggered (and authenticated) via a different application such
as Konqueror does not help. The "repeated failed attempts" message appears on
the first start of Kontact. I have multiple POP3 email accounts, and 1 DIMAP
with groupware folders.

Tried killing akonadi.db but that doesn't have any effect.

I notice that I'm using the QSQLITE3 driver to access the db. Is this ok?

[Bug 269149] New: Can't move messages into favorite folders

2011-03-22 Thread Charles Figura
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269149

Summary: Can't move messages into favorite folders
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.0.89
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: charles.fig...@wartburg.edu

Version: 2.0.89 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS:Linux

I can no longer drag & drop messages into the favorite folder view. This was
possible under older kmail versions, but is not enabled under the newest
kmail2.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to drag & drop to folder in 'favorite' view

Actual Results:
No 'move' or 'copy option is given.

Expected Results:
kmail used to give the copy and move options on a drag and drop action to
folders in the favorite view.

I've reported this as a bug instead of a feature request, since this was
available on earlier versions and is no longer.

[Bug 269127] New: Menu entry is not visible in Kontact Touch Mail Flap

2011-03-22 Thread Bjoern Ricks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269127

Summary: Menu entry is not visible in Kontact Touch Mail Flap
   Product: KMail Mobile
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Maemo 5
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Keywords: komo3
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: bjoern.ri...@intevation.de

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open kontact touch mail
2) Click on Create new Email
3) Open Actions flap
4) Scroll down to Composer Menu
5) Take a look at the menu entries -> no Configure Identity menu entry is shown
6) Scroll up the Menu -> Configure Identity entry appears

Same effect can be noticed in other menu entries. This one is always
reproduceable. Do correct this behavior scrolling of the menu and of the menu
entries in a menu must be independent from each other.

Since 4.6.1:
'There have been repeated failed attempts to gain access to a wallet. An
application may be misbehaving.'

When starting kontact for the first time, or kmail. It doesnt matter if I start
kmail as standalone for me.

After killing kontact and restarting it, kwallet is available. My installation
does not sport any IMAP accounts, pop & smtp only.
