[Bug 265833] new kmail component does not recognize outlook appointments

2011-03-27 Thread jlj.babydragon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=265833

--- Comment #4 from jlj babydragon gmail com 2011-03-27 10:15:00 ---
I just upgrade kdepim to 4.5.94.1, kmail still show invitation as plain text. I
could not accept all invitations nor add them to calendar.

[Bug 269550] New: kontact faults on kmail mailto from browser or command line

2011-03-27 Thread Charles Figura
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269550

Summary: kontact faults on kmail mailto from browser or command
line
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.6 beta4
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: mail
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: charles.fig...@wartburg.edu

Version: 4.6 beta4 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS:Linux

When kontact is running, mailto commands (from firefox, konqueror, rekonq, and
command line) fail with this popup message:

Kontact seems to be running on another display on this machine. Running
Kontact and KMail at the same time can cause the loss of mail. You should not
start KMail unless you are sure that Kontact is not running.

If kontact is NOT running at all, or if ONLY kmail is running (but not
kontact), behavior of the mailto works correctly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Run kontact (with kmail2 plugin), try a mailto.

Actual Results:
Warning popup window appears every time.

Expected Results:
A kmail composer window should appear.

[Bug 261936] Copying in KMail not working as expected

--- Comment #8 from Tom Chiverton bugs kde org falkensweb com 2011-03-27

Hmm, interesting observation: If I double click a word in Kmail to highlight
it, then middle (well, left and right at the same time) click in (say) FireFox,
the text comes through OK. If I TAB back to Kontact and CTRL-C and then CTRL-V
in FireFox, you get HTML-wrapped-garbage again. Odd.

FWIW My Klipper settings are to prevent empty clipboard and ignore selection.

I did a little further testing - if I tell the popup warning to go ahead and
start kmail, I *do* get my message mailto. And future activiations of mailtos
(from firefox, for example) will work properly.

This resets after a reboot and the problem presents itself again.

[Bug 264861] Google calendar and contacts don't work

2011-03-27 Thread mu3en
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264861

--- Comment #26 from mu3en mu3en gmx net 2011-03-27 19:15:16 ---
awesome. this works. here's how to do it (under natty in this case, please
confirm for maverick if possible):

first remove your current akonadi gcal resource entry (if you still have one)
in the akonadi system settings module. then open a konsole and:

~$ sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
~$ mkdir builds
~$ cd builds
~/builds$ apt-get source libgcal
~/builds$ sudo apt-get build-dep libgcal
~/builds$ apt-get source akonadi-googledata
~/builds$ sudo apt-get build-dep akonadi-googledata
~/builds$ cd libgcal-0.9.6
~/builds/libgcal-0.9.6$ ./configure
~/builds/libgcal-0.9.6$ make
~/builds/libgcal-0.9.6$ sudo make install
~/builds/libgcal-0.9.6$ cd ..
~/builds$ cd akonadi-googledata-1.2.0
~/builds/akonadi-googledata-1.2.0$ mkdir builds
~/builds/akonadi-googledata-1.2.0$ cd builds
~/builds/akonadi-googledata-1.2.0/builds$ cmake ..
~/builds/akonadi-googledata-1.2.0/builds$ make
~/builds/akonadi-googledata-1.2.0/builds$ sudo make install

that should do it. reboot to clear any caching. add a new akonadi google
calendar resource and launch korganizer to check that it works.

thanks mike. thanks devs.

(will the source be packaged for regular installation? creating .deb package of
akonadi-googledata using checkinstall failed here...)

cd libgcal-0.9.6
dpkg-buildpackage
cd ../akonadi-googledata-1.2.0
dpkg-buildpackage
cd ..
sudo dpkg -i libgcal0_0.9.6-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
akonadi-kde-resource-googledata_1.2.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb

Since I did not change the version number, next update wants to overwrite them.
Therefore I put the packages on hold in my machine:

sudo aptitude hold libgcal0 akonadi-kde-resource-googledata

Thanks mu3en, thanks mike, thanks all who have been examining this.
