https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271823

Summary: Kontact crashed when clicking on a link
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.6 beta4
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: blaz.jele...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (4.6 beta4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.2 (4.6.2)
Qt Version: 4.7.0
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-25-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 10.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I received an email with a link. When I clicked on the link Kontact froze and
the mouse cursor turned to the one for grabing. I moved the mouse of Kontact
and clicked on KPackageKit. Then Kontact crashed.

I had Amarok playing music, and KPackageKit updating some packages in the
background.

[Bug 263761] Non-ascii symbols in From and To symbols replaced to "?" when sending email

2011-04-26 Thread eric
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263761

(In reply to comment #32)
> Kmail/Kontact 4.6beta5 (4.5.95) must already have this patch integrated,

I think the patch in comment #24 is for the package 'kdepimlibs', while
Kontact/Kmail are applications from the package called 'kdepim'. The
functionality of kdepim depends on kdepimlibs, but the patch is for kdepimlibs.

To/From/CC: "Вася bla"---> bad: " bla"

To/From/CC: Вася bla  ---> good
To/From/CC: "Вася Вася"   ---> good
To/From/CC: Вася  ---> good
Subject and body are always correct.

The reason it's working for you and not for me is probably because of the other
changes in the git-version. Version 4.6.3 will be out soon, then I'll test
again.

[Bug 271812] Regression: KMail does now show invitations by MS Exchange anymore

Hi Sergio,

thanks for your reply. At first, I'm sorry for that duplicate bug, I initially
forgot to seach for bugs regarding kmail2 instead of kmail...

You say, that this regression was fixed after kmail 2.0.95 was tagged and
released? That would be really really nice! :-)

Regards,
Florian

The old kmail 4.4.9 is able to detect the content as an invitation send by MS

The way kmail2 interprets the invitation. Wrong!

This screenshot was done using kmail2 4.0.95. The invitation is dumped as raw
tetx, and is not interpreted.

anymore. That worked well with kmail1, such as kmail 4.4.9 that I'm using
currently on a different box.

Kmail2 shows just the content, consisting of the raw non-interpreted
invitation. The old Kmail showed a nice dialog allowing one to choose between
"accept", "accept conditionally" etc.

This functionality is missing or not working correctly. In the moment, it is
not possible to open messages from my department if I'm at home.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Get an ivitation from somebody using MS Exchange, fetch that mail using IMAP.

Easier: Send yourself an invitation, open it with kmail2, look how it is
presented.

Actual Results:
KMail2 shows the invitation as its raw content, that is not human readable.

Expected Results:
KMail2 should detect that the mail contains an invitation and should show a
dialog to add the invitation to your calender. KMail-2.4x does that.

  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Version: 1.6.6 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS:Linux

If articles are filtered by "Unread" status, clicking in one of them marks it
as read, and also makes it disappear from the list, not allowing to read it.

This is happening in amarok running independently and inside kontact.

Thanks.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch amarok
2. Fetch rss updates
3. Filter the list of articles of one rss source by "Unread" status
4. Click in one article to read it

Actual Results:
The article disappears as it were already read.

Expected Results:
The article should not disappear until some other article be selected.

Kmail/Kontact 4.6beta5 (4.5.95) must already have this patch integrated,
because it committed before beta5 release. Can you describe your problem more?
Is it reproducible with only "To" field or "From", "CC" too? When you save as
draft and open message again, you see ??? or normal symbols? You can mail me to
murznn (at) gmail.com with detailed description of problem, I try to reproduce
it, maybe some part of bug is not fixed.

Did you test with a Kolab address book, both shared and private? It's
definitely the address book that is causing the problems. It was configured by
adding a 'KDE Address Book (traditional)' and then adding 'IMAP Address book
via KMail'.

Glad to hear that it is working, I have a lot of contacts with non-ascii names.

Okay, maybe there are other patches in the git-version that I need to apply. I
will wait for version 4.6.3.
I'm using Kmail/Kontact 4.6beta5 (4.5.95).

[Bug 271750] New: Kmail crash at startup with 2 IMAP accounts

2011-04-26 Thread Dominic
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271750

Summary: Kmail crash at startup with 2 IMAP accounts
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: dominic.schra...@gmx.net

Application: kmail (1.13.6)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.1 (4.6.1)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing (wheezy)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I've added a second IMAP account and since the next start of Kmail it crashed
after entering the passwords for the two accounts. The first account is on a
Scalix server and is in use since several years and the second account is from
a Zarafa server using a SSH tunnel and was added recently. After adding this
account there weren't any problem, these occured on the first new start of
Kmail. When I close the SSH session and there's a connection refused on this
port Kmail still crashes.
I've upgraded from 4:4.4.7-3 from Debian Squeeze to 4:4.4.10-0r3 from "deb
http://qt-kde.debian.net/debian experimental-snapshots main", but this error
still occurs.

Thanks
Dominic

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bug 271748] New: Dropping a Kjots Book in Bookshelf Crashes Kontact

2011-04-26 Thread Brian Armstrong
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271748

Summary: Dropping a Kjots Book in Bookshelf Crashes Kontact
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.6 beta2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: notes
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: barms...@charter.net

Version: 4.6 beta2
OS:Linux

Upon clicking and dragging a book and it's sub-contents, I dropped it on the
“Bookshelf” menu tab. The “Bookshelf” menu tab is located just above the
actual books of the Bookshelf. I had attempted to re-arrange the electronic
books of the bookshelf since there is no option to alpha-numerically re-order
the books.

Crash Report (without debugging files...sorry)

Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Aborted

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on a Kjots book with sub-contents.
2. Drop on "Bookshelf" menu title, located just above listing of Kjots' Books.

Actual Results:
A. Kontact crashes and KDE attempts to restart kontact.
B. The most recent edits and additions of the Kjots module, Bookshelf, were
lost.

Expected Results:
I expected to place the dragged book and sub-contents at the top of the
listing.

Users would greatly benefit from fixing this bug by including code to
re-arrange the order of appearance of the Kjots books and pages. This feature
and bug fix would greatly enhance the usability of the "Bookshelf."

Old data is not lost, however, the most recent edits and additions of the
present session was lost.

From what I see, the error appears to come from /usr/lib64/libQtCore.so.4 file
that may not have a response for the behavior of "drag and drop" on a title bar
or menu bar. My suggestion might be wrong, I have not closely looked at the
code.
