2011-06-23 Thread S . Burmeister
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276311

Summary: akonadi crashed after resuming from suspend while it
filtered messages from an imap account to a local
folder
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: IMAP resource
AssignedTo: er...@kde.org
ReportedBy: sven.burmeis...@gmx.net
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_imap_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.4 (4.6.4)
Qt Version: 4.7.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.37.6-0.5-desktop x86_64
Distribution: openSUSE 11.4 (x86_64)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I resumed from suspend and told kontact to go offline/online because that's the
only way to make it fetch new emails after resuming. While it was downloading
and filtering messages from my imap account to local folders the internet
connection got slow and akonadi crashed.

In kdepim 4.7 beta1, behaviour is quite the same, kmail remember order but do
not use it ...

So if you have an ldap server, it always go before akonadi contacts... :(

OS:Linux

Hi, I started KMail 2.1, it downloaded my mail from gmail automaticaly, (I use
IMAP) and in the time of next periodic control, it reported me a failure.
I am adding a screenshot.
I think it is related to fact that I upgraded kdepim to latest, because also
nepomuk stopped working.

Reproducible: Always

New crash information added by DrKonqi

akonadi_imap_resource (0.1) on KDE Platform 4.6.4 (4.6.4) using Qt 4.7.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I had just installed KDEPIM 4.6 from
https://launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/+archive/experimental. When the KMail2
migration was finishing one of my accounts apparently replied with a wrong
credentials error and when I tried to edit the account the crash happened. This
happened twice.

Screen capture of the problem

Version: 4.4.10 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS:Linux

When you move a message from the inbox to the trash or to another folder, the
message that is displayed is Moving messages to trash cancelled. This is
incorrect. It should say Moving messages to trash completed. or something
like that. I am using IMAP and all of my folders including trash are on the
IMAP server.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Using an IMAP server with the trash folder located on the server:
1) move a message from inbox to trash either by the trash button or a regular
right click move.
2) Read the message displayed in the lower left corner.

Actual Results:
Moving messages to trash cancelled. is displayed.

Expected Results:
Moving messages to trash completed. or something like this that fits the
other messages in KMail/Kontact

I am using Kubuntu 11.04 and KDE 4.6.4

[Bug 259355] kmail terminates during startup with Failed to fetch the resource collection.

2011-06-23 Thread Thomas Fischer

--- Comment #9 from Thomas Fischer fischer unix-ag uni-kl de 2011-06-23

As this problem did not occur on a freshly-created user on the same system, I
deduced that this problem was most likely due to an old configuration setting
which is not (no longer) properly supported.
Removing Akonadi's settings (directories) inside ~/.config/ and ~/.local/share
fixed seems to fix this problem.

I noticed that this one pixel wide bug applies at least to KDE 4.6.2 Oxygen
widget theme. So the bug lies on Oxygen.

If you choose Plastique theme, the problem goes away but of course looks get
worse.

[Bug 266570] KMail2 migration failed, prevents KMail2 from running

Migration now works, although I had to Ctrl-F5 to get all my emails to show. I
didn't test filter migration.

On an aside, I tried to setup a fresh KMail and it's automatic detection of my
GMail account worked, except it tried to use IMAP while I prefer POP3

[Bug 97205] Multiple inboxes for multiple accounts

2011-06-23 Thread Matt Rogers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97205

--- Comment #30 from Pawel Pabian spamfuckers wp pl 2009-04-02 02:41:08 ---
This has been misinterpreted as a request for currently missing functionality,
while it is actually a request for currently missing visualiation of available
 functionality.

You know the saying that socialism is heroically fighting with problems
unknown in other systems ? That's what you're trying to do.

Instead of fixing this
multipleaccountsstoredinonefolderwithmultipleidentitiesandconfigurationsassigned
pulp you suggest
multipleaccountsstoredinonefolderwithmultipleidentitiesandconfigurationsassignedseparatedwithfilters
:P

Let me give an example how ridiculous current design is. If I want to add two
accounts i have to:
1. add 2 entries in Accounts/Receiving tab
2. add 2 entries in Accounts/Sending tab
3. create 2 identities and select corresponding Transport in them
4. go back to Accounts/Receiving and assign identities to them

And all I get is:
1. a message mess
2. risk of sending message using wrong identity/transport
3. lack of migration/backup like in TB where everything related with account is
encapsulated in one directory

I like Kontact suite (using it with 2 IMAP and 5 POP accounts now, only because
i was determined enough to set it up) but it won't ever get popular if KDE
developers won't change current design.

[Bug 174263] New: groupware-shared events off by one hour

2011-06-23 Thread Matt Rogers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=174263

Summary: groupware-shared events off by one hour
   Product: kontact
   Version: 1.1
  Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: summary
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: franke.dan...@gmail.com

Version: 1.1 (using 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.2), Gentoo)
Compiler: i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:Linux (i686) release 2.6.25-gentoo-r8

Event as listed in imap groupware folder:
Start Time: 2008-11-04 12:00:00
  End Time: 2008-11-04 13:00:00

 - Calendar view: shown from 12:00 to 13:00.
 - Summary: from 11:00 to 12:00

Host A, where the file was created, has clock UTC (timezone Europe/Berlin),
host B, where this behaviour is observed, has clock local (timezone
Europe/Berlin). The date command shows the same time on both machines.

The inconsistencies of the configuration should not affect the display of
events in this way, especially as the calendar gets it right.

[Bug 241956] New: KMail 'mark as important' incorrect behavior

2011-06-23 Thread Matt Rogers
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=241956

Summary: KMail 'mark as important' incorrect behavior
   Product: kmail
   Version: 1.13.3
  Platform: Slackware Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: iza...@gmail.com

Version: 1.13.3 (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS:Linux

when using message list theme 'fancy with clickable status', flagging 'mark as
important' behaves incorrectly when it is toggled alternatively between
manually clicking on 'message-mark message-mark message as important' and
clicking on the 'mark is important' icon on the message list status.

for example, flagging the '!' icon on the message list marks a message as
important, but it doesn't reflect the state in the mark message menu; it still
shows as 'mark message as important'. toggling this results in removing the
'mark as important' flag. it happens reversely too when unflagging the '!' icon
on the message list; it does not reflect the state in the mark message menu and
toggling it results in opposite effect.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) set theme to 'fancy with clickable status'
2) toggle the mark-as-important '!' icon under status in the message list.
3) go to menu message-mark message-mark message as important/remove important
message mark

steps 2 and 3 are interchangeable, whichever comes first affects the other

Actual Results:
toggling the action results in the opposite effect

Expected Results:
1)return the correct message flag, regardless of the method
2)important flag properly updated both in menu and icon status

Couldn't both be integrated? Maybe Amarok could retrieve the list of podcasts
from akregator. And Akregator could use an Amarok plasmoid for playing
podcasts.
