This is even more important, because after importing my opml with double feeds,
they get not marked as read properly. even the color is black, the left hand
page shows 10 unread, even 'mark all as read' is not working.
Then I search for the second feed(manually), delete it, and article get marked
as read OK.

Here (Kubuntu 11.04, Kontact 4.4.10, KMail 1.13.6, KAddressbook 4.4.10) the
behavior is a bit different, it autocompletes after the first name is
completely entered. This would be at the n of Paulchen. Also
auto-completion would only work until the address field is left.

Same here. Gentoo with kmail 4.6.1, kdepimlibs and kdelibs 4.6.5, akonadi
1.5.3.

Installed from OpenSUSE packages.

KMail 2.1.1
KDE 4.6.5 release 7
Akonadi 1.6.0

Same problem here. My mailserver is using a selfsigned certificate. When I try
to send a mail, the mail stays in the local outbox and can not be sent. No
network communication with the server can be seen. No error messages in
.xsession-errors. (anywhere else to look?) Removing and readding the SMTP
account results in a Can not read kwallet error and a config file storage of
the password.

When I use the workaround from Hussam in #12, things work again. (No question
about the certificate, seems it remembers I accepted it once.)

I did not migrate, deleted and recreated the accounts.

If this happens again I am willing to provide more logs and debugging if the
developers can say me what to look for.

I consider this a showstopper for 4.7 if it is not fixed. Not being able to
send mail without any error message is pretty much the worst showstopper
possible for a mail client, isn't it?

It seems that older version of postgresql ( prior to 9 ), this option is not
 present

This setting was already there in 8.2 (and so was the message about this option
being enabled by default in a future release)

The real issue here is that you use an external server (which is not what
Akonadi does by default) but didn't configure it (which Akonadi cannot change
the server settings when using an external one)

Strange thing: It seems that if it works now. :) But I've tried it many times

But there's a small problem if I start to write an e-mail to a mailing list,
save it as a draft and reopen it for editing again:
If the contact name of a recipient from the list contains a comma in the name
(e.g. lastname, firstname) there is always a To-field containing only
the lastname of the contact.

So the composer starts a new line (in this case a new To-field) when a ,

Hussam Al-Tayeb, thank you so much! I was tearing my hair out over this one,
but restarting kded solves the issue perfectly for me! I'm so pleased there's
a low-impact workaround for this. It also gives me hope that this might be a
silly little bug and easily fixed.

  Can confirm this bug

Which? The original or the appended one in comment #2?

As for the original I cannot confirm and I've been using KMail2 since.. well
 the beginning.

Did you upgrade from kmail1 or used a fresh kmail2 install? I reported it by
using migration wizard and not a clean and fresh install and config.

The Email Sucessfully sent message (which I really would like to turn of,
it is useless, it makes more sense to have a notification, if there is an
error) it's in maildispatcher I add a config dialog to allow to show notify
info.

The message, that informs me that a link is opened when I click on it in
Kmail (I would like to turn it off, too). didn't see it

 with HTML5.
Akregator is not crashing here.
It seems only(?) webm videos are causing the crash on my PC. Ogv files just
show a black box.

I'am voting for reopen and fix this _BUG_ !
It is first time in my Linux experience when i can't imagine wontfix
developer reaction.
Maybe option to disable nepomuk should have label Select nepomuk or switch to
another window manager because we will torture you with notifications ?
Please fix this behavior.

Alternative, kmail should get all new articles on startup, if the option for

[Bug 278645] Crash when moving mails to trash

2011-07-27 Thread Mikolaj Machowski
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278645

--- Comment #1 from Mikolaj Machowski mikmach wp pl 2011-07-27 20:53:08 ---
Apparently this crash doesn't happen always. It crashed every time when I used
Delete keyboard shortcut. When I tried to move mails to trash by drag'n'drop
nothing happened at all (also . And when I used Move to trash action from
menu items where moved to trash without crashing.

After more investigations looks like it is not related specifically to trash -
dragging with mouse to any folder just doesn't work. Have to use 'm' keyboard
command. Something is very wrong with moving mails around.

[Bug 278646] New: folder filter shouldn't collapse opened folders while filtering

2011-07-27 Thread FiNeX
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=278646

Summary: folder filter shouldn't collapse opened folders while
filtering
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 2.1.1
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: fi...@finex.org

Hi! When you use the folder tree filter all the expanded folders are collapsed.
If you have hundred of expanded folders you're forced to re-open them manually,
one by one.

This is a regression compared to KMail 1.

As a Nepomuk developer, I really want everyone to use Nepomuk, but I do not
believe it should be forced down on anyone.

As I understand, KDE PIM requires Nepomuk, but it can function in a reduced
state if Nepomuk is not enabled. Is there any reason that can't be achieved?
I'll take a look at the underlying code.

This is something we can discuss in detail at the Desktop Summit, and find a
solution that suits everyone. At the end of the day, the users should be happy.

I'm letting the status of the bug be as it is - WONTFIX, as I don't think I
should be changing it without discussing it with the others.

PS: I hate the message as well, it annoys me as I restart Nepomuk 10 times a
day.

Since I reported the bug, I can confirm both two. But I am installing a fresh
install of gentoo with kde 4.7.0 and will retest once it is finished with a
clean config.
