Additional information: Only one specific mailbox causes the crash. Currently it is a locally-stored POP3 mailbox with 8 emails, 6 of which are unread. Clicking the mailbox from within Kmail (i.e. after click the mail tab on the left of Kontact) never causes a crash. The entry box is blank and the message at the bottom says "The selected path is empty". _Even if this dialogue is closed by clicking "Cancel"_ , an error box is displayed: "KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now. The error was: Failed to fetch the resource collection.".
