[Bug 269673] Crash when clicking on mailbox in Summary page

2011-08-21 Thread Huw
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=269673

My apologies; I marked the bug as occurring all of the time, when in fact it is
only some of the time.

Additional information: Only one specific mailbox causes the crash. Currently
it is a locally-stored POP3 mailbox with 8 emails, 6 of which are unread.
Clicking the mailbox from within Kmail (i.e. after click the mail tab on the
left of Kontact) never causes a crash. Similarly, the second mailbox which is
an IMAP account never causes a crash regardless of how I access it.

Git commit a5be56cf25949db75c88c2c70f720d8c7d2b5ace by Thomas McGuire, on
behalf of Oldřich Jedlička.
Committed on 21/08/2011 at 19:51.
Pushed by tmcguire into branch 'master'.

Fix bad performance when fetching mail with many mails on the server.

With many mails on the server, the usage of QMap::key() was slowing
down things a lot.

Starting with a working and correctly configured KMail, this problem can also
be triggered via the Settings - Configure KMail - Accounts dialogue:

Select "Local Folders" and then click "Modify...", the "Select a MailDir
folder" dialogue will be displayed. The entry box is blank and the message at
the bottom says "The selected path is empty".

_Even if this dialogue is closed by clicking "Cancel"_ , an error box is
displayed:

"KMail encountered a fatal error and will terminate now.
  The error was:
Failed to fetch the resource collection.".

There is now no way to restart KMail to fix the problem, the only solution is
to use akonadiconsole to reset the Local Folders path.
