[Bug 275420] Sometimes Kontact and dbus-daemon hog two of my 6 cores with 100% each - killing Kontact solves this

The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: A useful backtrace could not be generated Report to https://bugs.kde.org Just to note, this may not be related to this bug, but I use Kontact with about 10 IMAP accounts, and some of those are shared IMAP accounts, and every 2 days I have to close kmail/kontact and then manually kill all the processes.. about 6-20 processes hand around, and kontact also hangs around. From the GUI, if you make the mistake of trying to start kontact, it appears to try to start, then dies silently, no warning that another kontact instance is still running. The IMAP processes seem to be stuck on: select(4, [3], [], NULL, NULL, while the kontact process is hung with: read(8, 0x8268d68, 4096)= -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable) and it loops.. It also seems that the reason we get the system CPU runaway, is that the kontact process keeps spawning new IMAP connections, but doesn't close the legacy ones that it lost contact with or is waiting on.. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
[Bug 276078] moving/copying a message into an online imap account does not upload the message to the server

Opensuse 11.4, KDE 4.7 from semi-official KDE 4.7 Core repository of opensuse (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/47/openSUSE_11.4/). Moved all my messages from last year from a folder on one IMAP account to a folder on another IMAP account - within KMail this looks fine, all messages are in the new folder, but when I log in to the IMAP servers using another computer I see the following: the messages are gone in the source folder, but do not appear in the destination folder! I tried to create a new folder on the destination IMAP server and copy the message to this new folder, but this doesn't work either. Again, in KMail all looks fine, but the new folder is never really created on the server! Please help: Does anyone have an advice how to recover the messages? As said, they are still there within KMail, but how can I put them back to the server in order to not loose them? This is a really serious issue! I have been using KMail (1.x) for years now and did never loose a single message. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 245288] When signing the pinentry dialog flickers for a few seconds and then signing fails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=245288 husi...@rediffmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added CC||husi...@rediffmail.com --- Comment #5 from husimon rediffmail com 2011-08-24 21:28:32 --- unfortunately, I have put my observations in the wrong thread! Sorry for that. The problem with pinentry-qt4 (input dialog window foe entering passphrase) still persists. Using Kmail alone is fine as long as I use pinentry-gtk-2 for Encryption, Signing or Decryption (of course with gpg-agent.conf setup to include the statements supplied above. The complete system break-down occurs as soon as kleoptatra is installed (its use-agent dependency is fixed and points to pinentry-qt4). No amount of configuration tuning helps to get the pinentry-qt4 input window to come to fore and accept any meaningful entry. The work-around to replace pinentry-qt4 with pinentry-gtk-2 fails too. As a result no encryption or decryption is possible with kleopatra installed together with kmail. I had to remove the package kleopatra to get the kmail up and running again with pinentry-gtk-2.
