I don't think so. At least with one of my university mailservers (running Cyrus
mailserver software) this problem is also present. And contrary, the Bug is not
present with KMail 1. So it is a regression that should be fixed imho.

[Bug 281153] New: Kontact crashes on exit

2011-09-01 Thread Michi
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281153

   Summary: Kontact crashes on exit
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: wosk...@yahoo.de

Application: kontact (4.7.0)
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.1 (4.7.1)
Qt Version: 4.7.4
Operating System: Linux 3.1.0-rc4-1-desktop x86_64
Distribution: openSUSE 12.1 Milestone 2 (x86_64)

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I simply exit Kontact.

I must say that I've only seen this crash after a round of updates after the
original 4.7.0 release. So it could easily have to do with the openSUSE
packages from their KDE:Distro:Factory repository.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bug 276077] unable to send queued message

@S Clark = This is indeed an annoying bug, but maybe you haven't noticed that
there's an easy workaround? Just enter the following commands in Konsole:

killall kded4
kded4

That should fix the problem, and the e-mail should send. You'll notice your
system tray icons go weird in between the commands, but everything should go
back to normal afterwards.

Same use case a bit more simple:

Select a folder.
KMail2 jumps to selected message (A) as I have chosen in the settings
Select first unread message.
Move to trash by pressing DEL.

Actual results:
KMail2 jumps to A

Expected results:
jump to the next read/unread message but certainly not A

[Bug 281169] New: turning off all Local Subscriptions makes IMAP account disappear

2011-09-01 Thread Jonathan Marten
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281169

Summary: turning off all Local Subscriptions makes IMAP
account disappear
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: j...@keelhaul.me.uk

Version: Git (master) (using Devel)
OS:Linux

The context menu over an IMAP account or subfolder of it, in the folder list,
seems to be the only way to reach the Manage Local Subscriptions dialogue.

If an IMAP account is completely turned off here, either by unchecking the top
level or all of the subfolders one level below it, after clicking OK the
account disappears from the folder list. When this happens, there is no way to
access the subscription dialogue again to re-subscribe to anything.

The only way to recover from this appears to be to remove the IMAP account and
add it again, the new account will have the default subscriptions.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Configure an IMAP account.

From the context menu over the account top level, do Manage Local
Subscriptions.

Turn off the checkbox for the Inbox and any other folder at that level.

Click OK.

Actual Results:
The IMAP account disappears from the folder list.

Expected Results:
There should be a way to access the IMAP account to re-subscribe again (e.g.
show the account in the folder list, but with no subfolders below it).

Just fyi this also goes for serverside subscriptions, If you have serverside

[Bug 281172] New: Knode's automatic spell checker doesn't work

2011-09-01 Thread greatbunzinni
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=281172

Summary: Knode's automatic spell checker doesn't work
   Product: knode
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: greatbunzi...@gmail.com

Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS:Linux

If a user runs knode and starts to post a new message to a newsgroup through
the Post to Newsgroup command, the message composition window which pops up
does not provide any visual indication that the spell checker is working, no
matter the options which were set at configure-posting news-spelling.

What's weird is that if a user opens Knode's configure menu
(settings-configure knode) and closes that menu without doing anything,
let alone change any option, the message composition windows which are
subsequently opened correctly display the automatic spell checker's visual
indicators.

So, probably some spell checking option isn't being correctly initialized when
KNode is started.

Reproducible: Didn't try

--- Comment #4 from Laurent Montel montel kde org 2011-09-01 19:44:10 ---
void MailWebView::scrollToRelativePosition( double pos )
{
// FIXME: This doesn't work, Qt resets the scrollbar value somewhere in the
event handler.
//Using a singleshot timer wouldn't work either, since that
introduces visible scrolling.
  const int max = page()-mainFrame()-scrollBarMaximum( Qt::Vertical );
  page()-currentFrame()-setScrollBarValue( Qt::Vertical, max * pos );
}
ok it's a known bug
