Unfortunately selecting the folder is rather unfortable if you have a long list of folders. It is a long list to scroll to. Other parts of kmail have the folder selector which is much comfortable (folder trees can be closed and one can jump there by typing the name). Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Composer should use the folder selector used in the rest of kmail or at least offer it optionally. The amount of data was large, and the network not that fast, but I could open the folder, see the mails flowing in, etc. Once the sync was done, it was a matter of a few seconds to reload the full list in kmail. Messages are moved to a local folder after the 14 days. Some messages lose their content after moving, i.e. when one clicks on the emails in kmail their headers are shown, yet not their content. The message list does show some size for the email which suggest that it is not empty, i.e. 10 kb. Viewing the message's source in kmail shows only the headers as well. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Set an imap account's expire period to some days some days and let them move to a local kmail folder (mixed maildir source). Actual Results: Some messages lose their content. Then I choose the first goup of settings to automatically start Calendar if Kontact is started. After I made the Apply, Kontact crashed. Now every time (three times in a row) I go in Kontact to Configure Kontact, Kontact crashes. I can however go to the sub-parts: Configure Calendar and change those. KDE comes from the openSuse repros. IMHO this bug is not about not downloading the mails from the server, but about not saving them locally. 1.) This bug also happens, when you don't have the pop3 resource configured to leave messages on the server, but if you have it configured to remove them after download. This is of course hard to verify, but I noticed missing mails on mailing list posts first in this configuration and only after this switched to Leave messages on the server. 2.) Using Leave messages on the server-configuration: For me it is the same as for Dominik the UID of the locally missing message is in akonadi_pop3_resource_rc. And AFAIU this means the message was downloaded from the server. This means the summary should probably better be Not all mails downloaded via pop3 are saved locally. It's a no-go. Mutt eats nothing during fetch, same for trojita. Please, don't use mysql like this, looks like some request optimization is necessary. Should I file another bug about CPU usage? Btw, mutt fetched 149k in ~30min. For the initial report up to comment #4 I think it is related either to 235835 or to 257722. Regarding #5, please retest on latest 4.7.x and check if it still applies in which case it'd need a separate report. It should be fixed by now though AFAIK. Regarding #6 that looks like another 235835. Regarding #7 that looks like another symptom of some of the database corruptions we've seen (likely from an upgrade of older unstable versions). If that still shows up on a clean database it would need a separate report.
